I had a saltwater aquarium at one time, but it was a long time ago and the advice that I was given was shitty. Needless to say it wasn't set up right. No live rock, no live ocean sand and not the proper lights. I spent some decent money on that to only see the fish die. Only hardy fish like damsels, royal gramma, angel fish etc. lived and I sold it all cheap. I had a bunch of freshwater tanks too.
I have had very good treatment at my local fish store. They have been more than helpful.
No, but you must have the correct equipment when you start ... and you have to be patient establishing the tank ...
You have to have the proper filtration to keep amonia and nirtite to 0 levels ... after that, water changes every 3-4 weeks and you should be good ...
the tank size I have with the type of fish I have I can add 5-6 more .. but I will not do it ... I do not want to over-stock the tank ... that is when you run into trouble ... also, there is more of a chance for them to fight ... they are very territorial ...
What equipment do you have?
And do you change about 20% of the water each time?

That's good then as I said I was steared in the wrong direction and learned a lot from it. If I ever do get another one I will know what to do and not to do.
You guys should get a flame hawk. I had one of them and they are hardy plus cool.
