I agree, ocala area is much like upstate ny, horse country with rolling hills. That was what my parents liked so much about the area. They did alot of research and visted dozens of spots across much of FLA before deciding on spruce creek.
They seem to love it. I've been to their place 3 times so far and have enjoyed it every time. The people are nice, the weather is great the only knock is much of the food sucks

The food is alright, there is alot of franchise places here not to many "mom and pop" places. I like it here, it's a lot less crowded than most places also.

I have heard of that place, my dad lives near the villages actually he lives on 6 acres with horses and shit you would like that. My dad will go anywhere to do a job he is a money hungry fool. He has been doing custom mirrors and stuff for about 20 years, he really is one of the best! Let me know if they need any work done whenever the time comes.

just called my dad he said he'll try and go to your rest. charlie. Jeff father said the name of the community he's looking to buy and build in is called The Plantation??? i have no idea he said its like 1/2hr north of orlando or so.

95% of the places have what you all call NY style pizza which is simply thin crust round 18" pie. Its great. up here anyway. Some places here have ***** crust Chicago style pizza which is great too.

I'll keep that in mind. The house they bought is already built its 1yr old and comes fully furnished. They are looking to buy another home in a new community somewhere closer to orlando but still north of it. If they buy it will be built new and i'll keep you in mind.
