The snow was good but the last day we skied it was beginning to deteriorate. There was no new snow for several days. If they don't get some this weekend they'll be hurting for the holidays. My son told me that N. Mexico resorts have good early-season snow this year for a change...then the western Colorado slopes, e.g. Wolf Creek and Durango have really good snow right now.

Wolf Creek is a good place to ski but it's such a pain in the ass to get to the mountain....no lodging on the mountain. Last time I went it snowed an inch an hour the whole time we were there. Wolf Creek pass was completely closed one day...but they always have snow.Comment

Yes, a buddy of mine from high school has had (his parents actually) a place in Pagosa Springs since I can remember. We used to go up there every year. Nice mountain, just a little small. Like you say also, kind of a pain in the ass getting to the mountain.Comment

U know it...I dont ski myself...I snowboard but havent in years.....wouldnt mind trying it again however...there are nice mountains in Western Canada primarily though....I am out East.....Originally posted by kbsooner21
