From what i've seen there a lot more split units around here.
Not so much cheaper but better for the harsh winters the north deals with.A oil furnace puts off 140,000 BTU's of heat per gallon while a natural gas furnace produces only 100,000.Meaning you burn 40% more natural gas to receive the same equivalent as a oil furnace.
