yeah tell me about it. i live just to the south of the adirondack park and that park goes up to the canadian border, it gets freakin cold up there even in the summer. nights get into the 40s and 50s in the summer. F that

I won't throw stones at the weather in other places, we spent 2 weeks last winter without getting above zero. And JC was whinning about 35 degrees. I will throw any stones at LSU though, I have no pictures for him to F with.

Here on Long Island there is a Boat Basin of large for hire boats. Went out for a full day of Ocean Fluke (they call them "doormats" as they are flat bottom fish). Did ok. Me and my buddy took home 2 a piece. Laws are really rough here. Minimum 19.5 inches to keep. I would say the four ranged from 4 - 6 pounds each. Caught about 20 between the two of us, mostly throw back. September will be trying snapper, weakfish and porgies off a reef/wreck). All supposedly good eating

Yes, same family of fish as flounder (don't know if you have heard of that).

Got into it over the last few years. Started fishing upstate NY (my inlaws are upstate, with 27 acres and 2 ponds) for bass. Really enjoyed. Went twice now this year. Me and a buddy, a case and a half, few heros, etc, the boat goes out from 8 - 4 for ocean fishing, cost $60 bucks, they give you all the rigs, tackle and bait. Runs you as much as a round of golf.

Sounds like a good time. Haven't been camping/canoe since I was a little kid (up in Bry's neck of the woods actually). Although did go white water rafting about 7 years ago on the Snake River in Northern Arizona
