Just got back on Monte...

Friends of mine are getting evicted from their house because the landlord never paid the taxes on the property. Not their fault, but the land is being seized.

Breeze said that there might be some help for them based on different laws.

I am going to look into it tomorrow and see what i can find. In the meantime, they are going to stay with us: my friend, his wife, and a three year old, 14 month old and a 3 month old boys. WOOHOOO

That's a different twist as I'm usually used to reading about tennants not paying rent and it taking 6 months to get them out.

Have they looked into what's going to happen to the property? I would say if its seized it will be auctioned off.

Is the problem that they have paid months ahead in rent? Or they can't find another place? or ?

No, they have been paying month to month, and never have been late on it.

They have not yet found out what is going to happen to the property and they don't know who to talk to as the landlord has entirely split.

So instead of rushing things with three small children, we'll let them stay with us to make sure they find a quality place.

But your right...this is kind of an opposite story. Usually it's the tennants not paying, but this time its the landlord.
