it would be hip replacement surgury. we havent gone to the consoltation with the surgueon yet. from what i know now is he basically needs this if we want him to lead a pain free life. aparently he is in alot of pain and has been walking funny to ease his pain. we noticed his odd walking but never thought anything of it because he is always happy and playful and full of energy.

so basically if we do nothing eventually over time, couple years or so, his hip socket will break apart and he will lose mobility in his back left leg. i really dont know much yet as all this is painfully new to me.

What exactly does the surgery do for the dog and entail? I mean will the dog still end up crippled later on with the surgery?
