I used to think Ldawg was joking with me because he used to email and ask what a "Lobster Roll" is and "how do you cook it?"

LMAO ... I thought he was joking for the longest time until he said one day ... "Seriously, how do you make one?"

Ever bbq up here has an outdoor propane cooker or steamer next to it for lobsters. The grill is for steak, chicken, ribs and burgers!

I've been eating lobster since birth and never heard of cooking it in an oven unless it was stuffed lobster tails or something. It probably has to do with the toughness of warm weather lobsters. It's not like that here. They are either boiled or steamed and that's it. Tails or lobster pies are cooked in the oven but even that is after they have been cooked and picked clean.

My uncle is a lawyer in Cali. and he has Maine Lobster shipped out there for him and his friends about 6 times a year. He said their lobsters don't even taste right. A big difference is cold and warm water. Lobsters in warm water have a totally different taste.

Tourism is huge up here. All you see in the summer are plates on cars from Mass., Florida and Canada. Lobster stands are everywhere in the summer and people can't get enough of corn on the cob & lobster. We have the Rockland Lobster festival and Yarmouth Clam festival every summer and you can eat clams and lobsters in 1,000 different ways. Kb would be in heaven. I guess that's why we call ourselves vacationland!

If you like lobster and have never had it fried ... Not many people sell it but i would plop down $100 and tell them to fill me up! OMG!!!!
