It means go to the window tell the clerk you want a 2.00$$ exacta box 2 with the 9. It will cost you 4.00$$. If the the race ends with the 2 and the 9 running first and second you win some money. By saying box that means either one of them can run 1st or 2nd and you still win. Example 2 wins 9 runs second you win, 9 wins and the 2 runs 2nd, you still win. Hope that helps
