#1-The band U-2....their josuha tree tour in 1987 started in Phoenix and the band stayed at the Pointe South Mountian resort where I worked. They came a week before the show and I met them all, the first time we met they were all together in Adam Claytons room and I brought some meals and some beers and we talked for a while. They asked where the hot spots were and I mainly pointed them to the bars along mill ave in tempe near asu and one cool pool hall that I liked. The next day in the paper it was reported that U2 showed at all the bars that I suggested. I have all their autographs. Bono was having throat problems and was kind of a dick, everyone else was cool.

#2-Willie Nelson, he ordered 2 hamburgers and 2 skim milks. when he opened the door all I could smell was weed. He was so cool, got his autograph and he tipped GREAT!

#3- Muhammad Ali on a flight home for Christmas (mid 80's), had a stop in Chicago and as people got off and people got on I find myself sitting across the isle from the champ He was with his wife and young son. The flight attendants offered him a seat in first class while his wife and son stayed there, his son talked my ear off the whole flight and I played with the kid the whole way. He offered me his toy and he really wanted me to take it...can't remember what it was though. At the end of the flight his wife thanked me up and down for entertaining her son. For the life of me I can't remember his name.

    #4-Alex Trebeck (jeopardy)

    #5-James Garner

    #6-Sally Fields

Oh and almost forgot Mark Gastinuea from the NY Jets!!

    That's it for famous people!!

Nice list.Congrats and thanks for 4,000 post. Here's to another 4,000

Kirby Puckett...I was in a restaurant and I was like 8. He was seated and getting ready to leave when we walked in. He stopped to talk with us for a few minutes and then paid for our meal on the way out. Got a ball from him too because we were wearing our Twins hats.

Derek Boogard...I get to deliver his mail from time-to-time. He's very shy and his GF is flaming hot.

Mike Modano...I got to play a game in the old MetCenter before the North Stars moved down to Dallas. It was kind of a setup meeting thing but he showed us some pointers and gave us a little pep talk and stuff...It was really cool.

Actor Josh Hartnett. I went to school with his brother and got to meet him a few times. I never liked him much he was kind of a dick.

the best part i did not have to pay 20 to 50 grand for a detox-recovery center-although going cold turkey on your own-not the easiest thing-it was a month before i could sleep more than 10 to 30 minutes at a pop, talk about sweating in bed and seeing things on the ceiling, thousands of white rats-guys i don't think i could do that again without a hospital scenario-lets pray it does not ever come to that again !!

I met Peter Gammons, we talked about potential trades at the All Star Game in Seattle, I think it was in 1999. I went to the All Star Game 7 years in a row, back when I was single, I would tell the groupies at the All Star Gala Party that I just played in the AAA All Star game.
