Ah, just went to the Georgia schools web site, adding a month of school each year reduces the number of years kids need to graduate. Now instead of graduating the 8th grade at age 17 kids typically make it to high school by age 16
How bout I look at Colbys calender last night and they start early but get alot more days off.Hell there off Labor day Sept 6 then go back for 4 days and then Sept 13-17 have the whole damn week off

From a budget perspective, doesn't make any sense, If they did that here it would cost a shitload of money to air condition the schools in August, Mid Sept normally won't need to. Plus people want to vacation in the summer months, doesn't make any sense at all, and please Vols, don't tell me they don't have air conditioning in the schools. That would make it dumber yet..
