Ppl up here are up in arms about NYC marathon Sunday.

They r running the race.

If you don't know the race covers 26 miles and goes thru
All 5 boroughs of the city. So at points they will be running
Adjacent to disaster areas. Ppl who have no homes will get to watch
These losers run by.

I can see both sides, they said it's worth 300 million to the city. If you had reservations to go to New York City next week, would you go? Prolly not. They are gonna lose a ton of tourism dollars in the next 4-8 weeks. And this is a very busy time of year for them. So I feel bad for the small business guy who depends on tourism.
On the other hand, I would hate to see them catering to a marathon runner when I can't get power, but they find generators for the event, while I sit in my cold, dark, house eating a peanut butter sandwich for the 100th time. As I've told some of you, I've been through this, our entire city flooded out in 97, it sucked. I just paid off my 15 year loan with the SBA last month. There is gonna be a ton of problems, people who feel they are being slighted for one reason or another, people who feel their neighbor got more help than they did. etc.... My prayers go out to all of you. It just plain sucks.
