Gomes and Cespedes is about a wash for me. Oakland definitely gets the better deal, but Boston at least got a little something in return.

Kb you have to be kidding. Gomes is horrible. He can't hit righties at all and he is old and a horrible OF. He is pretty much a pinch hitter vs a lefty and that's it at this point. Cespedes is better than unknown prospects imo

If cespedes hits 25-30 hr's in Oakland, what can he do with that wall in Boston? I hate losing Lester but I like cespedes.

I'm surprised Atlanta was not in the mix. Lester lives there in the off season and it would have been a great addition to challenge the nationals and their pitching
