The other place we played was Torry pines, I thought it was a shit hole, and Aviara at four seasons up the coast a bit. That place is fantastic. Have a good trip.
Sorry, Kaz. This Okie will be in San Diego later this month. Shouldn't be any trouble for you though since you're several hundred miles north. that area you've been talking about though is really beautiful... Monterey to Big Sur. let me ask you... Have you ever been to a place up around the NAPA Valley called Harbin Hot Springs?
Unless there is free stuff in Harbin Hot Springs, Kaz hasn't been there.
The reason Kaz's nose is so big, air is free, so he inhales as much as he can.
You're absolutely right. So please, encourage everyone in Oklahomo to stay there.

No. Pacific Coast Highway 1 is literally right on the coast line and runs along the ocean from top to bottom. The 101 connects with it in certain spots but runs more inland in areas and is much more of a commercial highway. The Pacific Coast Highway is 2 lanes I believe until it connects with the 101 in the few areas that it does. This will give you an idea if you look at the maps on the right. The 1 is much more scenic..
Did you play any of the courses on 17 mile drive? I've played Spyglass and Poppy Hills. Haven't played Pebble yet. At $525 for round, it would take a while justify that much cash for a round. Plus they won't let you play without a caddy. They are $50 plus a tip. I like Poppy a lot. For around $85 for NCGA members, it's a bargain. Just no real good views of the ocean. The one time I played Spyglass, I was playing pretty decent golf. I was around a 9 handicap. I shot like 95 and that was generous. I went into the pro shop afterwards and saw Phil's scorecard which he held the course record with a 62. Made me feel like a pee-on.
Yea I thought 101 and 1 were the same in the Monterey area(which is where we stayed). We went into Carmel, and did the 17 mile drive through what I call "heaven", then we went to the pro shops at Pebble and ate in the dining room overlooking 18 at Pebble beach. Didn't get to play there, but I will some day. it's on the bucket list. That, and seeing an NBA playoff game. Then we drove down to the Big Sur area and back up to Monterey. I didn't have much time as I was at a work related convention, so I had to go to a couple meetings.
101 and highway 1 are the same? I actually did the tour through pebble and took the highway 1 down the coast and through big sur area. Great area.

#2 in the nation right now. Heading into a real tough stretch on the schedule, lots of home games at least, I think I have 8 home games in the next 5 weekends. Gonna be rough on the ole liver.
