so near the end of the Purdue/OU womens' basketball game, the Sooner guard was casually bringing the ball up the court and just stopped and dribbled in the backcourt. I'm yelling, 'why don't you get the ball across the time line!!!??? The guy sitting next to me taps me on the arm and says, 'there is no timeline in womens' basketball.' It was pretty obvious that I was watching a game that I am not used to watching. I would have probably tolerated the game a little better had they served any adult beverages at the Ford Center tonight. Was glad to see the Sooners make the final 4 in some form of roundball, though.
at least the Sooner women are still alive. I went to sleep during the regional semifinal last night, but I guess my wife got all fired up and ordered us tickets to the finals tomorrow night at the Ford Center (OU v. Purdue)...If she'd have asked me I'd have told her I was through with basketball for the year after watching the Sooner men last night...but I guess I'll go watch some chick ball tomorrow night. I hope Sherry and company do well.
I wouldnt go to a womens CBB game if someone had given me the tickets for free and even paid for my flight..
