  • *REGULAR 2ND HF PLAY ON: (2 Units)

    Tenn -1 +108 (2nd Hf) ................................................comp play

-This will fall on the arms of both teams QBs...as it seems that both running games are being contained....If that happens, I have to side again with the Vols and QB Ainge, who leads the SEC's 2nd ranked passing offense, hitting 68% of his passes, and also having the advantage of working behind his OL which only gave up 5 sacks on the year so far....SC's QB no so lucky as he his line has given up 18 sacks so far on the year....And the Vols #3 pass defense has already picked him off twice in the first half, which should remain in the mind of this young QB this half..

-If you want to get my play, no charge, in the Hawaii/Idaho game....just contact me by 11 pm Est and I will send it out to you....Aloha CC.

          *REGULAR PLAY ON: (2 Units)

          Hawaii -25.5 (EZ Winner!)

*Just some quick thoughts on this....

-Hawaii coming Home after a two game successful road swing....and let me tell you from personal experience, when we can do that...It's simply an AWESOME feeling...not to mention, a big energetic one as well...Here in Hawaii, we dont expect the Warriors to win on the road...so achiving what they did, especially against our biggest hated rival Fresno St...and then following that up with another win against NMST....is HUGE for Us fans...and HUGE for our Warriors..

They are coming into this one...on a high..and they will play with an extra boost of energy and excitement tonight....The Boys love playing at Home...Why?....Cause when we do, its with our family and friends cheering them on...Simply not the same as playing on the mainland....And, kind of hard for me to explain it also...Just know that, although we also made that long journey to get back home....No JET LAG affects our legs like it always does those that come here...

Idaho, let it all out against Boise last week...and they came up short....Now they must make a long trip to play here in the humid weather with a lot of distractions as well...Hell, I think their tank is not even 3/4 full...and when a team comes in on a less than full tank, and especially when, they are Not a power type of team...who can push the Warriors around....That usually always spells Big Time Trouble for them..

I have won though several times, with the Vandals....But, that was against scrub teams that could be outplayed and outcoached as well....They do have Dennis Erickson now, and he has made some improvements, no doubt...But playing Hawaii, at and Hawaii, is a whole nother story...and it usually is because the offense Hawaii will constantly attack them with...regardless of the score, will be to much to keep up with...

One thing I know is that they dont have the guns, and wont have the stamina to keep up with this attack tonight...And I feel a huge Blowout occuring on Hawaii's Homecoming Night as well....Go WARRIORS!

*REGULAR 7 PT TEASER PLAY ON: (2 Units)

Hawaii -18.5 (EZ Winner!) & Rutgers -13 (Pending!)

-I love Hawaii..and I love how Rutger is playing right now....Tomorrow, they get to showcase their program on national Tv, so you can bet they will be completely up to do just that....To much, for the Huskies to keep up with....And that makes teasing both of these down, and automatic for me...

*REGULAR 2ND HF PLAY ON: (2 Units)

Hawaii -8.5 (2nd Hf) (EZ Winner!)

Hawaii Over 21 pts TM Total (2nd Hf) (EZ Winner!)

NE -10 Tm Total (2nd HF)

-Minny has problems stopping NE's passing, as Brady is over 230 yards in the 1st half....One reason why he is so effective is because of the ability and players he has to dink and dunk on the Vikings defense...When a team can do that, they can get by without having to run....Minny, on the other hand, only has 22 yards rushing in the 1st half...and this is not good news, because they are a team that cant live off of Johnsons arm along...they need to run, but NE is taking that away, and they also is keying up on Taylor who is Brad favorite target out of the backfield, when they go to the short passing game...NE continues on this half...and should score enough to cover this number, as well....GO PATS!

                        SMU -5

-Huge game for both teams tonight....However, I have to side with the Mustangs who is coming back to an energized home...and against a Blazer team that plays on the road on the heels of a 2 game downward spiral....This situation clearly doesnt favor UAB, as the road is not an easy place to find solutions to your problems....Another factor to consider..is that these two teams, and which most arent aware of, are going in the opposite directions with regards to their FB programs...UAB is in a rebuilding situation..due mainly to losing their 4 year starting QB Hackney and several top WRs...Last year was suppose to be the year, that they made rebuilding much easier for them, as they were predicted by many to challenge for the conf title...However, that didnt happen..and one reason why was due to these Mustangs...The Mustangs handed UAB a devastaing loss in their house...when they went on drive with 24 seconds left to play and pulled the 28-27 upset...After the loss, that Blazer squad simply went on a downward spiral..and ended up not even making it back to another bowl..

This season UAB is going through a lot of growing pains...and it again is mainly due to the hits they took on offense...Losing a QB like Hackney is big because, not only, did he lead them to rank in the top 20 offensively, in passing yards, yards per play, and also total yards...but, he also brought them four years of continuity as well...Gotta remember, that UAB was another program who was being built around their star QB..and losing someone who has been at the controls since 2001, is going to take time to rebound from...

SMU, on the other hand, is the program now...who is on the rise..The Mustangs the past few season have boasted some very solid recruiting classes and were thought by many to be last years surprise team...They only won 5 games last season, but it was the most since 1998...They fell short at making it to a bowl game..but only loss 4 games by just a TD or less...And, more signs that these Mustangs are on a definate movement back to the scene, is evident by their big win over TCU last season, something no other team in the land could claim....Furthermore, these Mustangs last season also was able to go 3-1 vs the 4 bowl teams they faced as well...

This year all of their losses have come on the road, including their worst performance coming in last weeks game at EC....However, this big game is in their house again, where they are undefeated at 3-0 and where they have been playing their best ball overall...For the Mustangs, their still remains a lot of spirit and enthusiam behind this program, team, and players...This can still be the year that they make it to a bowl game...but, they will have to take advantage of this exposure on national tv, not to mention, also win this game...cause they got to face the 2 best teams in the conf next..

This also is a must win game for UAB's seasons hopes as well...But again, with all the problems they have been experiencing of late, especially on the defensive side of the ball...getting it done on the road is a daunting task against these excited Mustangs tonight...

If the Blazers couldnt control either one, of the two one win teams, they faced in their last two games...one being a pass reliant offensive team in Rice...and the other a run heavy team in Marshall...Then, how is it that they would be able to get it done against a balanced attack that the Mustangs will bring...Another problem facing them, tonight is the Mustangs Fr QB Willis, who is simply on Fire...leading the conf's top rated passing attack, which he has thrown 19 TDs passes to just 3 Ints, not to mention, is also completing a solid 70.1% of his attempts as well...

SMU is 3-0 at home this year averaging 43.7 ppg and 422 ypg...while allowing just 14.7 ppg to opponents....UAB's on the road this year is 0-3 and have averaged just 16.7 ppg....UAB's defense on the road this year, has also allowed opponents to complete 60.5% and also gives up a whopping 173 rushing ypg at 5.0 ypc also...Not Good, as SMU at home has been completing a super 74.4% of their passes..and have also averaged 185 yards rushing at 5.1 ypc as well...

On the defensive end for the Mustangs...they are overall the conf's best against the run...allowing just 80 yards rushing and just 2.6 ypr...This is what UAB needs to do inorder to be effective on offense...But this need plays right into the strength of the Mustangs defense..and the Blazers weakness on offense, their passing attack wont be able to simply take apart the Mustangs 117th pass defense, if they cant run the ball effectively...Problem for them also, is that their passing offense ranks last in pass attempts and pass completions per game...with just 13.6 receptions average...

Another problem for the Blazers is their own run defense that was shredded by Marshall last week for over 300 yards on the ground...And, once more they must face another dual threat at QB in Willis..The last time they faced Rice's dual-threat QB Clement, he shredded them for 191 yards and 3 TDs...and, also rushed 17 times for 141 yards and 2 TDs as well...Today, Willis should also be able to do damage on them, both through the air and also on the ground...

Some other stats that work against the Blazers tonight is that they commit the most penalties in the conf...and they havent seem to have gotten a hold of it yet...as in their last two losses, they committed a combined 16 penalties for 131 yards....SMU also 3-1 ATS and SU this season as a Fav....They are at home where they will be playing with a lot of excitement...There QB possess to much mobility and play making abilities that he will be able to burn the Blazers defense with...And, the Blazers offense overall is just not as potent enough to outscore SMU...

Lastly, its the Blazers defense, who has allowed over 400 yards in the last 3 games that will be their demise...They wont be able to stop Willis, who has accounted for 20 TDs in his last 5 games....He's just a freshman, but tonight is his coming out party on national tv...The Mustangs are 14-1 under coach Bennett when scoring 24 points or more..so you can expect him to continually try to put up big numbers...Based on the Blazers last two games, where they gave up a whopping 894 yards and 65 points...I say they will.....GO MUSTANGS!

                        ================================================== ==================================

                            FYI:

*REGULAR 2ND HF COMP PLAY ON: (2 Units)

                                Louisville E (2nd Hf)

-The weak chink in the Mountaineers is on the Defensive end...primarily in the secondary where they have been burned by a lot of long passess (20 yards +) this season....Tonight I see the Cards continuing with their long range WR taking advantage of this weakness...and the Mountaineers wont be able to just shore up their coverage against this team...especially when they lost 4 of their top 5 DBs from last season... Louisville offense 279 total yards in the first half...and over 200 of that was through the air...The Cards get up more and that forces WV into a passing attack which goes against their strength...Like the Cards to do just that this half.

                                GO LOUISVILLE.
