  • Worse Coach in the NFL

While I am waiting out Hurricane Sandy I thought I would throw out a topic and see what everyone thinks. I think there are a lot of choices for this honor, Norv Turner, Andy Reid, but for my money Jason Garrett is the hands down winner. The guy has cost the Cowboys 2 games by making poor coaching decisions this year. In the Baltimore game a few weeks ago Dallas has a first down and 10 at the Ravens 34 yard line, trailing 31-29. He had 30 seconds let and one time out, so what does he do. Instead of calling a pass play that may get you 10 yards closer he does a quick slant to Dez Bryant that picks up 0 yards. Instead of having Romo spike the ball and then try another pass downfield that makes the FG easier he lets the clock run down to 4 seconds and has his kicker try a 51 yard FG, as though it was a chip shot. The FG is no good ant they lose to the Ravens

Then yesterday he has a second down and 1 from the Giants 13 on the Cowboys next to the last possession of the game. He had three time outs and over a minute left. Instead of trying to at least get a first down to keep the drive going, he calls for 3 passes down field that were all incomplete. I know Garrett didn't throw those passes but I would have tried at least 1 run play to try and pick up the first down, which would have gien him 4 more cracks from around the 10 yard line.

Hard to pick the worst coach but I agree that Jason Garrett isn't a great coach. Any team that can be as inconsistent as the Cowboys, you have to put at least some blame on the coach. Romo isn't the greatest QB in the league but they do have some good talent, yet Jerry Jones always seems to hire a coach that he likes rather than one that can lead a team. Norv Turner; I think his demeanor alone makes him a pathetic coach. He is a little too soft spoken and doesn't seem to handle pressure well. Always liked him as a person but the Chargers aren't going to win anything with him at the helm. I don't think Andy Reid is as bad as people say he is. Granted, he hasn't won a Super Bowl after making it to the playoffs 9 times, but taking a team to the playoffs 9 times is hard work in a little over a decade. With that said, I can't argue that he doesn't fold under pressure since 0 for 9 is a pretty fair sample size. On top of all that though, I think bringing in Michael Vick and continuing to let him fail time after time are bad decisions on his end. All in all, I would say I would take Reid over either of the other 2 coaches. Can't argue with you when you say that all 3 suck though.

Hands Down Norv Turner, For some reason owners love this guy.
He turned a good team in washington to shit and doing the same to the chargers.

      I don't see the attreaction to a guy who isn't even a 500 winning %.

He needs to go away. Garrett hasn't had a fare chance. Romo makes him look bad, i believe he could be a decnt coach. Andy Reid just needs a change of scenery
      Good Luck to everyone
      Adam

Richie: [after Gus hits a homerun] Wow and he did it without steroids.
      Clark: What's steroids?
Richie: Something that makes your pee-pee smaller.
Clark: There must be steroids in macaroni!

You got it right, Raven, to the tee and 100% on all accounts and there's still more; freezing his own kicker and many, many more. He's not that bad during the course of the game, maybe i should take that back. But come crunch time omg does he freak, freeze and go brain dead. A Princeton education is definitely different culture than coaching in the NFL. Callahan must be thinking wtf is going on in that pea head. I thought that he'd improve this year but no way; he can't handle the pressure, doesn't think properly and doesn't use common sense. Poor fans of the Cowboys putting up with this crap week in week out. How much longer do they suffer? Jones not necessarily an Eintsein when putting a team together also.

And to think the Ravens offered him the job before Harbaugh. Speaking for all Ravens' fans I am thankfull he turned the job offer down. That's another example proving Garrett isn't the sharpest knife in the block.

Shoulda punted and put Bama inside the 10 with no timeouts and less than 2 minutes to go instead of trying a career long fg. Dummy!

Tough loss for LSU..I was rooting for them all the way. I think they may have had it if they didn't switch up their defense to fucking 20-yard prevent on that last drive. Apparently someone wasn't aware that the clock stops with first downs
