Umpire jimjoyce in headlines again

I believe no one loves sports more than I do. But, its sad that our "news" prefers to ALWAYS focus on the negative and not the positive.
When umpire Jim Joyce blew a call at first base to stop a perfect game, it was national headlines and the lead story on ESPN. Well, as some of you know, Joyce was in the news again, BUT it wasn't the lead story nor did it make the "headlines." All he did was possibly save the life of a woman at the ball park yet it wasn't as important as a missed call in a baseball game.

Also, letsdouchealot, did you see Jim Joyce's reaction when he realized hemissed the call in that game against Gallarga ??

Didn't look like arrogance to me !! Looked like he was very upset. Do you think he wants to be remembered as "that umpire" who blew the call ??

For you to make a statement that " I'm just not a fan of any umpire" shows your stupidity.

I guarantee YOU don't have the knowledge OR the BALLS to try and umpire a 10 yr old game.

This thread was to show something about how society has become when this man misses a call and he makes headlines, but when he saves a life - at the ballpark no less - there is no headlines.

When people try to make a point to applaud someone for saving anothers life you take the angle of I hate all umpires than call someone a Motherfucker. My son plays baseball, catches in fact. I taught him to be respectful of all umpires, and they will return that respect back.

I don't hate them, not an easy job.
