Question for the ump.

Last night Twins Rangers, top of the 3rd inning game tied 2-2, Texas pitcher Oswalt hits Joe Mauer with fast ball between the shoulder blades, Twins get a couple relievers going in the bullpen. Is this a sign to the home plate ump that even though the Twins have their best pitcher on the mound in a tie game, there may be some retaliation?
