It's sad. At first it sounded like he was owning it, and trying to move forward. The latest is just bizarre, and yes, ban him. It's gonna take something drastic to make these guys think twice. 50 games? I would venture to say there are a lot of guys that might gamble on roiding up during a contract year for the money it's worth. Would they do the same if they were handing out yearlong/lifetime bans? Definitely need to send a message.
Another thought... Obviously his use of PED's benefited the giants, but what if it went undetected? He signs a huge contract for an ungodly amOunt of money, then cycles off the roids and goes back to being a career .260 hitter. Sound at all like stealing?

I say we act surprised. What a minute, are you telling me all these poor Dominican kids are trying to get rich? and the risk is a 50 game suspension? No way I don't believe. Sosa, Vlad, Ortiz, Reyes, Soriano, A Rod, Pujols, etc etc. Shocking. Does anybody really blame them?
