I hate both teams and wish they could both lose, so I have no dog in the fight. With that said, Balti was extremely fortunate to beat a mediocre Houston team with a rookies QB in a home game. Houston had more rushing yards, more first downs, more passing yards. Flacco played like a retard and is very mediocre when it matters. Houston was -4 in turnovers and still could have easily won. The Baltimore D is living off their Rep and aren't anything special anymore.
Patriots' D blowss, no secrets revealed there. However their offense is extremely difficult to defend. I don't see how Balti can keep up. Pats 30-17.
I hate them both as well, its like watching Satan v Hitler.
New england was 3rd in the nfl and 1st in the afc in turnover margin at +17. Ravens were 12th in football at +2. I think to win the game the ravens have to win the turnover margin and I'm just not sure if they can on the road, a place where they went 4~4 this season.
I think this game boils down to whether the Ravens are able to pressure Brady. Brady is no different than any other QB. If you hit him hard enough and often enough he will make mistakes and screw up. That is exactly what happened 2 years when the Ravens beat them in the wild card game. If they don't get to Brady and at least make him uncomfortable it will be a long day for the Ravens.

Additionally, pound the ball with Rice, keep Brady off the field altogether.
Ahh, and I would agree with you, except for the fact that I was well aware that Brees was not the same QB outside as he was inside his dome. I wish everyone else would see that too, and get off his bandwagon.
Brady's at home in this one, where Brees was not, big difference, imo.
"I think Joe got rattled a bit by Houstons defense"
"It just didn't look like he had hold of the offense"
"I think a couple times he needed to get rid of the ball"
That's about all the info I need boys. Flaccos own teamates know he sucks. Let's see Tom Brady at home or a QB that nobody has faith in. Im taking Brady.

Not getting into this argument about what team or what qb is better but I will say this about Brees - he wasn't at his best against San Fran and that hurt. If Brady isn't at his best against Baltimore, they will lose.
And for all those who say that Brees is "overrated" because they only win at home - the fact is that during the last 3 years, the Saints are 18-6 on the road, the best road record in the NFL. That is factual - BUT the bottom line is, we are watching this weekend instead of playing.
Good luck to all the teams this weekend and if I was betting, I think I would take the points in both games.
4 good teams that better be at their best to win.
Every Pitt fan i know up here was talking about the matchup in N.E. before the Denver game even kicked off, saying their backups could beat Denver and they were not worried a bit.
Injuries? Fuck, EVERYBODY has a long injury list, it's week 18, week 19 .......... EXCUSES, EXCUSES, EXCUSES!
Pitt got embarrassed, plain & simple!
I guess if
Connolly
Waters
Green-Ellis
Wilfork
Anderson
Ellis
Chung
all were injured and back ups were playing along with Brady with a broken foot and thumb, you would have bet on NE against Denver.
Yeah right, you would have done the same thing I did.
