I show Kansas State at #9 so that's actually two more than zero.

I also see that the Big 12 has four teams in the top 14 which is pretty comparable.

Unfortunately I have to agree with KB here after closer examination. I know it is not an exact science in comparing, as these teams play against each other with the exception of the powder puffs that each conference schedules as "warm-ups", but looking at offense and defensive rankings/yards/etc.. (taking in account some flip flopping of very strong defenses versus very strong offenses) you can find alot of similarity in strength this year.

Was looking at the BCS, not the AP, so in that regard, you're correct. I don't know what poll has K State at #9, but regardless.

Once again, all the quality wins for Big 12 are really just vs other Big 12 teams. Top 5 teams in Big 12 combined have one win vs the BCS top 25 team and that was a 2 point win at home vs 18th ranked TCU.

Top 5 teams in SEC have 4 wins out of conference vs BCS top 25 teams and are:

vs #5 Oregon by 13 (neutral site)
vs #15 Clemson by 21 (home)
vs #22 Penn State by 16 (at Penn State)
vs #23 West Virginia by 26 (at West Virginia)
