When it was a 12 or 14 game season, that meant something. Being a 1,000 yard rusher means nothing to me. 63 yards a game makes you a 1,000 yard rusher and if it takes you 20 carries a game to get that, how good are you? Not impressed ........

Yes, a 2000 6th round pick who was never even expected to play, goes in for an injured Bledsoe in week 2 and finishes the season (11-3) and leads his team on a final GW drive to win the SB as basically a Rookie? Yes, he did. That one drive made him a veteran for many years to follow.

Not sure how we got off topic n this became a brady vs manning debate...u prefer Brady and I prefer manning, nothing wrong with either one. Point of this thread was about Rodgers and how as of right now he is top player in the game, with that I agree as of now Rodgers is playing lights out

To be honest I'm jealous of all of em...I've had Carr n schaub to root for. I'd take Brady, manning, Rodgers, big Ben, brees, rivers...I'd even take stafford or Eli as well, txans still aways off from being a good team.

Rodgers is the best player in the NFL...I love when people try to disparage a player (usually a QB) by stating "he has a lot of weapons."

                Rodgers still cuts Brady's toenails

If you analyze & really watch Rodgers, he clearly has put himself above all the QBs. His arm is unbelievable, accuracy is by far better than all, manages game as good or better than all, reads defenses as good or better, prepares & studies game like all.

I'd say as of now he clearly is best but all others mentioned are at highest level as well, just think Rodgers has taken it to another level, IMHO

I have watched and analyzed every game in Brady's career and i am 100% positive that he is just as good and even better at some of those things than Rodgers. One would be accuracy for sure. Reading defense and preparing? It would be impossible for somebody to spend more time preparing than he does. The guy is famously known for studying all 16 opponents during the whole offseason and for watching film 24/7 when not playing games during the season. Even on the plane on the way to road games, he watches film. After a road game, he is on the plane watching film for the next opponent. There is no way anybody prepares more than this guy. Managing a game? Manning and Brady are in a class of their own as far as that goes IMO.

The one thing Rodgers definately has over Brady is something you didn't mention, his scrambling and ability to run.

Right now, Rodgers is having a better "Season" because of the Brady game vs Buffalo. He may have 6 picks this season because of that game but remember, he just set the record for most consecutive passes without an INT this season so IMO, that game was a fluke.

So far this season, Rodgers has been better. Does 5 games put him in front of Brady though? Not yet, too soon to make that leap IMO.

He is the reigning and 1st Unanimous MVP in League history and he is coming off a season where he had 36 TD's and 4 INT's. He also has the 2 highest passer ratings to end a season in the last 8 years (2007/2011).

kb mentioned an interview with i think DL Mccoy for Tampa Bay after a preseason game and McCoy was saying that Brady was amazing because he knew the Tampa defense better than they did or something like that. And i wouldn't doubt it.
