He isn't going anywhere. Not with that contract because that is simply mind boggling money to eat and that won't happen. As bad as Crawford was, he really was far from the biggest problem. They scored the most runs in baseball and hit the 3rd most HR's. Offense isn't the problem and it won't be moving forward. Crawford will get a fresh start next season and we will see what he does with it.

Like i said in the other thread. Pitching, pitching, pitching. They do not have the ace or aces they thought they did. You want to talk about a contract that they will try to move, it's Lackey. They have about 3 years and 45 million left on it. They may eat about 20-25 million and see if a team wants to give Lackey a job at a much cheaper rate and in a much more relaxed atmosphere. He simply isn't made for a place like this and it showed.

They are talking about making Bard a starter. He has the stuff and he wants to start. A young guy who throws in the high 90's with 3-4 pitches. I say why not. Address the bullpen and sign Paps and Papi. Maybe trade Youk too and find a RF and 1 more SP.

Hey, One thing that has never changed. I lived and died with the Red Sox every year before 2004 and i still do today, like most Sox fans. Any Yankee fan knows that is always how it has been with Red Sox fans and it still is to this day with this team. It doesn't matter if the payroll is 80 million like it was when they won or 160 million like it is when they lose now. Never lived in another area to see how they react at the end of every season but 99 out of 100 seasons up here it feels like a funeral. Should people take it that seriously? Hell no but for some reason we do. It's devastating every year. Not the same with the other teams, just the Red Sox and you can all take pride in our anguish cuz it will probably happen again next year too.
