Walks away from the Sox Job.. Very unfortunate.. I actually thought he was really good over the years. Looks like the Boston fans and media ran him out. Who's next? Theo? He should be gone for getting Lackey and Crawford

Wow... Tito just opened up a can of worms.. He said pitchers were drinking in the clubhouse. Wow.. Lot of fingers are gonna be pointing in that clubhouse.. This is going to be MASSIVE for that city!

fans didnt run him out. Management did. In fact I've heard/read on red sox fan message boards people are actually boycotting buying red sox items from redsox.com and other things directly tied to the ownership. people are pissed at management. I sure am. Make no mistake about it Francona was fired. He didnt have control of the clubhouse cause it had a bunch of Assholes. Tito IMO was a great manager. Best sox manager i've ever saw.

Many players need to go. Lackey being #1.

It was 100% the players who stopped listening to him and did their own thing. Several acted entitled and no matter what he said, they were no longer listening or following the program. He simply had zero fun managing this team and he knew it wasn't going to change enough for him to want to stay. I truly believe if he wanted to still be here, he would be.

Agree 100%! Tito was burnt out with the so called entitled. I hope the Sox hire a good leader and clean some house!

did you hear tito had issues with Youk? That surprised me. If he lost control of clubhouse and the players didnt respect/listen to him players should be released. Another manager isnt going to change or solve the problem.

Crawford might be done already one into a 8 year contract. They should just cut their loses and eat some salary.

Several players have issues with Youk by the sound of it. He puts his nose in places where he shouldn't (Like last years injury to Ellsbury) and they say he cares more about his personal numbers than the team as a whole.

Guys were bitching about the bus they would use on road trips to go 5 minutes from a hotel to the park and everything. Again, hearing that may have been youk. Cliques everywhere in the clubhouse like Lester, Lackey and Beckett ..... and nobody was allowed in their circle. No team dinners on the road like in previous years. Everyone went with their clique in seperate directions. People blowing off conditioning drills.

Finding out a lot in the last 2 weeks and Francona simply wanted out Bry. He said he lost the team and he told Theo he simply didn't know what else to do to get them back to fighting for each other.

Not sure who will be next but he better have experience and a strong personality or they will ignore him too.

Really disappointing as a Sox fan to hear it and i really will miss Terry!

He isn't going anywhere. Not with that contract because that is simply mind boggling money to eat and that won't happen. As bad as Crawford was, he really was far from the biggest problem. They scored the most runs in baseball and hit the 3rd most HR's. Offense isn't the problem and it won't be moving forward. Crawford will get a fresh start next season and we will see what he does with it.

Like i said in the other thread. Pitching, pitching, pitching. They do not have the ace or aces they thought they did. You want to talk about a contract that they will try to move, it's Lackey. They have about 3 years and 45 million left on it. They may eat about 20-25 million and see if a team wants to give Lackey a job at a much cheaper rate and in a much more relaxed atmosphere. He simply isn't made for a place like this and it showed.

They are talking about making Bard a starter. He has the stuff and he wants to start. A young guy who throws in the high 90's with 3-4 pitches. I say why not. Address the bullpen and sign Paps and Papi. Maybe trade Youk too and find a RF and 1 more SP.

Maybe it wasn't the sole reason, but man, i heard a little bit from mike franseca yesterday and boy..it was not good from the fans. I really couldn't follow baseball this season because of my job so i really didn't know the whole situation.


P.S. is BetUS a good sportsbook? What do you suggest?

Doc, Tito is an ICON up here with the fans. Sure, there were a few but trust me, the fans had his back 100% and loved him. They had a poll up here asking who should go, Tito or Theo and it was 90% Theo. Tell Francesca to stick with what he knows (NY), because it isn't the Red Sox.
