Been hard to watch this slide and feels awful to know every time out lackey is going to give you 5-6 innings, throw 113 pitches and give up 6-8 runs......Once or twice is a bad outing but it happens repeatedly.

I always try to give guys the benefit of the doubt but he is a tough man for me to root for.

To help you guys out with the math,run support is not every game its an average of what they score when he pitches no matter if its a win or a loss.

So again the math would be if they score 12 one game and 6 another and 9 another,what would that be kids.Its 9 correct I thought me mixing up the #s might trick you because you have a hard time reading and understanding what your reading.

I already told you his ERA in 11 wins is 3.67 and his ERA is 3.29 in 7 losses.

So if he was getting 9 + runs a game like you keep saying he would have at least 18 wins.

But because its an average he gets ALL DIFFERENT AMOUNTS of runs every game.So he can win a game 16-4 which he did and lose a game 2-0 which he did.Those 18 runs the other day count toward that 9 run average even tho he was not capable of getting a win.

Run support helps of course but just because they score for someone doesnt mean they win the games 9-8 every time he pitches and thats what you keep making it sound like.

I disagree-he was far from a Red Sox killer for the Angels at least in the games at Fenway-that is one of the reasons why I thought it was a huge mistake for Sox to spend so much money on him for as many years as they did.

Its his other 9 starts that he has an ERA over 14 ,thats the problem not the 18 starts where the ERA is 3.5

I'm dead serious. Pats have some big time injuries heading in to this one. Hernandez is out and the weakest part of the team is their secondary. Well, i'm hearing Chung will probably miss this game after having thumb surgery this week and he is a huge loss. Devin is all they got back there with literally 3 homeless guys playing beside him. Add to that they lost their center for the year last week. Haynesworth may not play too. I know they have had the Bills # of late but if there was ever a time for Buffalo to step up and win a game, it very well could be Sunday!

This may be stretching it a bit and might be considered crude, but for anyone at this point to try to make a case for John Lackey as a pitcher when you consider his stats., salary and shit attitude, imo is akin to someone to try to make a case for Osama bin Laden(outside of his immediate families and others who are of the same ilk as he is).

As a Cubs fan, I'm as jealous as anyone of the Sox success lately. Rarely watch much of their games, but I've noticed this a few times when seeing games where he's pitched. He gives up a rope to the gap and when the defender comes up empty on a diving catch he really doesn't have a chance at, he cusses like he should have made the play. Get a clue you piece of shit, don't give up ropes to the gaps and they'll more than likely make the play for you!!!
