I'm with you as a Nats fan. Not that they were contending but it hurts anyway. What happened to all the seventh year stuff? Not even a sixth year.

I Feel so bad for the yankees. They did sign a 37 year old ss for 3 years at 17 mil per though so that's good for them!

Red sox and phils are in discussions over a joe blanton trade. Not sure why but those reports are everywhere. Maybe the sox said if you sign lee, we will take blantons contract off your hands!

How are teams like the New York Yankees suppose to compete with the likes of the Boston Red Sox and Philly Phillies.... When they just go out and BUY championships!?!?!?!?!?

I said I like not getting Lee but did not want him going to Philly or worse Boston. I would have wanted Lee for 3 years 75 mill. not 6 or 7 like the Yanks offered.

Now they hopefully sign Pettitte let Nova be #5 and see where they are in June and if a team is out go get there big pitcher for prospects.

The only guys worth trading for are King Felix , Josh Johnson,Gallardo and Greinke.

They may try signing Brandon Webb or Chris Young.
