They don't play tough opponents now. I stopped buying Texas season tickets last year because their non-conference schedule was:

La-Monroe
Wyoming
UTEP
Central Florida

Then they cruised through a weak Big 12 to the MNC game. Don't fool yourself into thinking any BCS team schedules to improve their SOS.

I'm a Bama guy and I think the Aubs should be #1, but it's a joke that Boise and TCU can go undefeated, and get locked out of the BCS. If they're not gonna give them a real shot, then don't rank Boise #3 to begin the year. I do think if Bama wins out, which is going to be tough with this team-we wil go to Glendale.

IMO, if Bama wins out they should play for the title.

Undefeated Boise, TCU, or Utah shouldn't get a shot before any one loss SEC champion.

Wayne, I understand your argument, and it's really sound. My only problem is that voters know their sched before the season starts, so if you're not going to give them a chance because of who they play--then don't rank em #3 to begin the year. Cam is really the truth and he's been on fire the whole year. I have 4 tics to the Iron Bowl, and if both teams win out, I might have to sell my tics for the game--they're going for 1000 a piece right now. I do think if anyone can contain Cam it will be Saban and Co. LSU has a great D and he shredded them to pieces, but their D isn't very complex. Bama's 3-4 is prob the most complex system in the country. That's why so many of our players from last year are starting on NFL teams. Wayne, I'm sure you know Deidreck that plays for the Pats is a stud, and he was drafted in the 7th round, and he's starting for yall. It's not because he's the best athlete in the world, but by playing in Nick's sysytem for 3 years, he's a very smart player, and he won't beat himself. I can't wait.

If it was based soley on voters, Boise would have a chance. I would rank them where they did too. Your missing my point. The computer is based on anything but "Feelings" and when you match it all up, it doesn't equate to the "Big Boys" and the path they take to get there. They came up with the "Computer" to take some of the bias and human element out of it and personally, i think it is the best thing besides an obvious playoff.

The problem is that the computers have steadily gotten worse since they were initially included because of restrictions placed on them by the BCS. The decision to remove margin of victory in particular was especially destructive to the integrity of those rating systems.

There will never be a playoff because CFB & the BCS just LOVE watching conversations just like this going on day after day after day during the season. They love it!!!
