all i know is a lot of guys were on the juice who almost get a free pass. you don't hear much about piazza or pudge rodriguez not getting in the hall. read any of the juice books, everyone in baseball knows piazza was on the juice, but im sure he will be in cooperstown. and thats my problem with the whole thing, its like who got caught and who didnt.

Bonds, Clemens, Sosa, Arod ... They should all be in IMO. Like Lance Berkman said the other day on the Rome show, 600 HR's is 600 HR's and the same with 300 wins. Many, many, guys were on the juice and most still couldn't touch those numbers. they are a major HOF talent, juice or no juice!

All I was saying/implying re: the HOF, is that if Clemens or most of us had to choose between being indicted and facing say a 3-5 year jail sentence(have no idea what in fact it would be if any) or being banned from baseball for life with zero shot to be considered for the HOF, many of us would opt for the latter choice-I know I would.
ps Personally I think he should be able to walk away from the whole thing at this point and be voted in the HOF as he matter has been blown way out of proportion and is not fair because many of the reasons you guys mentioned.Last edited by savage1; 08-22-2010, 10:47 AM.

Wow-I just read the Clemens faces a maximum sentence of 30 years and a 1.5 million dollar fine all for possibly lying to a corrupt/self-serving group of folks passing judgment on him and all about whether he took something so that it would make it more difficult for folks wielding a bat to hit a ball(or not hit a ball) to a place on the field where somone could not catch or field it-something doesn't seem right here.
And just think plenty of other players did similar things, got away with it and never testified about it and thus couldn't be found guilty or innocent of any charges brought against them.
If Clemens deserves 30 years and a stiff fine for this, then all in can say is that those folks in the White House at the time of the invasion of Iraq and any accomplices they had(referring to Dick Cheney) who perpetrated this fraudulent war on the American Public over self-serving reasons, the latter which resulted in the needless death and crippling injuries of thousands on both sides, hopefully will burn in the Eternal Fires of Hell and Damnation FOREVER!!!

And really, who cares? It’s just a glorified game. A baseball player should not be dealing with the FEDS because he might possibly have lied about shooting steroids into his ass in order to play a game better. Gay, gay, gay!!!!
