What about in their farm system ??

we have a great prospect in freddy freeman.he is supposed to be the next big thing.but this means to me that the braves dont feel he is ready to be a major league hitter they can depend on during the stretch run.

This is a great trade for atlanta.we gave up almost nothing, for a very established hitter.he plays great defense, plus gives us a huge stick in the lineup.with prado now back from the dl he will be at 3rd most of the time but this gives us flexibility with prado and glaus at third.maybe a lineup with glaus at 3rd and prado at 2nd and lee at 1st.if the braves make it to the world series glaus would be the dh.i know glaus is not having a great year but he had a 6 week stretch that i would put those numbers up against anyone else in 6 weeks.

I still dont like it. I really dont like Glaus @ 3rd....WHEN HE GETS OFF THE D.L. AGAIN. I guess what I dont like more than anything is Glaus being on the damn field.

How could the cubs let this guy go??... He's a damn good player and well liked in the clubhouse. Yes, he's having a down year, but so is everyone else on that damn team! He should be the last person the management should get rid of!

He has to be joking kb or he doesn't follow the Cubs ... how long has he been on the team?? How many championships have the Cubs won with him???

The entire team needs to go along with the management ... NO ONE is indispensable on that team ...

No, it's just dumbass Doc. Only reason he comes to this site is to stir up some guy from Oklahoma. Go read his last 100 posts. Every single one of them is trying to provoke me...

hopefully they can find someone to take soriano, zambrano, ramirez, and nady. Blow this whole thing up and start from scratch.

This would make me very happy.
                          Included hendry and coaching staff.

and no I dont want ryno to manage next year.

Not too sure I agree with you regarding Ryno ... we need an internal guy .. someone who knows the organization inside and out .... we certainly do not need a big name ... look what Lou did?? Nothing ...

I agree Spark. I think Ryno is willing to do whatever is necessary and make the tough decisions to get this ballclub winning again.

This is where I disagree. I believe they need a young aggressive manager and I'm not sure sandberg has the disposition to be a hard Ass. I know they can't get Joe girardi but if they hadn't fucked him over before he might already be here. Not big on sandberg one bit.
