I think eliminating auto-bids would do more good than adding more teams. Watch Winthrop play on Tuesday night, they are god-awful and have no business in a tournament.Originally posted by wayne1218 View PostBut if you expanded by 7, you wouldn't have a (23-8) team from a power conference sitting home. Let a team that went (7-9) in conference bitch or a team that went (16-12). Who cares about them. When this field was expanded to 64, NONE of these secondary conferences like the Missouri Valley, Horizon or West Coast conferences ever sent more than 1 team. You also didn't even have Conferences like the Mountain West who has 3 teams in or C-Usa who has 2 teams in. Those Conferences didn't even exist. You have to make adjustments for those things."CFB YTD: 5-8-1 -16.2"

Can I pencil them thru to the Sweet 16?
I'm looking at Utah St, Washington and Cornell for possible Sweet 16 visits. Not sure which if any i'll go with. Too many people are calling for upsets in some other games and i'm not sure those will happen. The Teams Utep and Siena are playing, they are listening to all those upset calls and may be ready.

Butler waxes UTEP, imo. And Siena pulls it off. I like Utah St. and Cornell as well.Originally posted by wayne1218 View PostNo, Elite 8

I think the 12 and 13 seeds win 3 out of the 8 possible games--that is a ton considering. Murray St. looks awful enticing--Siena...Utah St...look at the 12 and 13's all have a great shot of winning...ALL of them!Originally posted by wayne1218 View PostNo, Elite 8

G Tech beat Duke and made it to the conf final.
Minny did beat Butler, Wisky, Mich St, Purdue and made it to the conf final as well. Yes, it is the Big 10, but let's not kid ourselves, this is one of the worst years for the ACC that I can remember.
As for Miss St, though they did make it to the conf final, they lost to Rider and W Kentucky, and their best win of the year came against Vandy...sorry, IMO, not good enough.

Murray St could end up in the Sweet 16 if they get by Vandy. The problem there is the size Vandy has. Murray St hasn't seen that all year. The only two schools worth anything that Murray St played out of Conference this year was California and Louisiana Tech and they lost both games. I don't trust them here.Originally posted by bryce View PostI think the 12 and 13 seeds win 3 out of the 8 possible games--that is a ton considering. Bottom line, we could debate who was snubbed and who shouldn't be in, but when it comes down to it, none of these teams can win it all. In the end, it's really not that important. At least this college sport gets it right unlike another one I won't mention.
PS I find it funny and frustrating at the same time that they want to ruin one "playoff" by expanding the field to 96, but these same assclown school Presidents refuse to have a "playoff" in CFB with no logical argument against it.
