agreed, my post said he was a very good back, he just isn't the best RB in the league, as most people think. An argument could be made he is one of the best running RBs, but he is nowhere close when it comes to the other aspects...receiving and blocking.

He also had a MUCH, MUCH better QB/passing game to play with than guys like Chris Johnson, MJD, Ray Rice, Deangelo Williams/JStew, Ricky Williams, SJax, Gore....etc., so I don't know if the 8 in the box argument holds water. All of those guys listed above averaged more yards per carry than Peterson's somewhat pedestrian 4.4 ypc average.

the jets O-line is better than the ravens, but rice is the better RB. flacco isn't that bad of a qb. he has had some really good games this year and scored a lot of points. the jets win on D, their offense can't win games for them.

one other thing. wayne had 3 catches for 33 yards in 1/2 a game against revis, and had him beat for a long td if manning doesn't over throw him. revis was not a factor in week 16.

He has cracked the 100 yard barrier one time in the last 11 games, and that was against the Lions. He has averaged WAY under 4 yards per carry.....closer to 3 yards........over the last 8 games.

I kind of think Minnesota is the better all around squad, but it is hard to ignore what a different team they are on the road. They have lost 4 of their last 5 road games, including the last two against very bad teams.....Carolina and Chicago, and they were playing for a ton (home field) in those games. They are 9-0 at home and 4-4 on the road. Let's look at their road wins.......Detroit, St. Louis, Cleveland, and Green Bay. I think we can toss out three of those wins, leaving GB as the only good team they have beat on the road all year.
          1) Vikes play HORRIBLE when they travel to grass stadiums, superdome is like the metrodome. (adv vikes)
2)N.O didn't finish well, lost to Carolina, T.B, Dallas who worked them over at home), should have lost to Washington in OT, and pulled a squeeker against Atlanta. They haven't played well since the NE game on Monday night (nov.30th)
3)This entire week will be on Farve, and i just have a feeling the real AP will show up, i think farve will manage the clock, and the vikes defense will be very intimidating, did you see romo's eyes, he was scared
4)And finally, who has N.O. beat this year, only 2 team over .500, it's Atlanta and New England THATS IT, vikes have played 6 games against playoff teams, 2x GB, Balti, Pitts, AZ and cinci (4-2) and that pitts game we totally dominated but a loss is a loss. N.O in my eye has had a very weak sch. and hasn't been tested like this team that is making it's way down the mississippi.

          Vikes 27
          N.O 17

oh that's right, pitts didn't make the playoffs, so make it 4-1 against playoff teams

Let's face it the Jets were the luckiest team in the NFL this year. They backed into the playoffs. This was a classic case of not what team you played but when you played them. Had they played the Colts and Bengals the first 2 games of the year instead of the last 2 games they would be watching the playoffs on TV. Then they play against two of the better kickers in the NFL who proceed to miss 5 makeable field goals. There luck is going to run out this week. Jets are a carbon copy of the Ravens, play strong defense, have a good running game and hope your QB manages the game and doesn't lose it for you. I think you will see very similar results this week that you saw last week. Colts win this game easily 31-10.

i keep hearing about how "bad the saints defense is" and how "great minny's defense is"

based on last week, except for one run, the saints defense did pretty well against a team that scored over 40 the week before on green bay, who was the #7 ranked defense in the nfl.

minny looked "GREAT" last week against dallas, but if you are using the whole schedule, just like everyone is looking at the saints schedule, minny's defense wasn't that great either.

minny gave up 20 to cleveland, 24 to san fran, 31 to baltimore, 36 to chicago and 26 to carolina - all teams with supposedly "not much offense."
they also gave up 23 and 26 to green bay and 30 to arizona.

based upon the WHOLE regular schedule, don't tell me that minny's defense proved they were world beaters.
the same with the saints. they also were not world beaters either.

BOTH teams played good defense last week. It is just a matter of which team plays the same defense on this Sunday

I don't understand why you can't root for Manning. He is the type of role-modal we want our kids to follow. He is humble, competitive, and a team player. Why the hate?

I feel the same about Brett. I realize the off season shananigans and retire-unretire thing. But when you watch him play its clear he truly loves the game. He is very passionate and def. not just playing for a paycheck.....which can't be said for many NFL players. He is like a kid playing in the backyard. I can only hope my son grows up to be like Manning or Favre.

i know they bullshat their way into the playoffs, but i somewhat think this is a dangerous team as they have confidence...their last 2 regular season games were a sham, but they won them and they are now a very confident team...you never know what can happen if a couple of bounces go their way...

that being said, peyton should be enough to win this game...

really none of that other crap even matters...minny gave up 20 to cleveland...the saints lost to the bucs...none of it matters...

both teams were damn impressive last week, and i think the matchup is a dream scenario for the nfl fan...saints have a slight edge on offense, vikes have a slight edge on defense, special teams is pretty equal with maybe a slight edge to the saints with reggie bush's flashy game last week...

should be one hell of a game...go vikes!!!

i agree. i think it is going to be a great game. i just posted that because everyone is dogging the saints defense and annointing the vikings defense and i think they are both fairly even, with the edge to minny. and i agree that the edge on offense goes to the saints.
both teams played their asses off last week and looked like possibly the 2 best teams left.

unfortunately they play each other and unfortunately for you, you will have a saints avatar for 2 weeks !!!

                              good luck buddy !!!

Chargers blew that game yesterday, they didn't finish off the Jets when they had the chance. No way the Colts don't put 8 in the box and force Sanchez to beat them. I think the Saints win a close one with the Vikings, Favre will make some mistakes this time around. AP hasn't been running that great.
