Why did he put his shoulder pads back on???? Why? Someone please tell me. I need to know.

False hope for his team? Sounds like it to me.
mavs, like i said in the other thread, our local sports guy said that they are reporting that mccoy has a separated right shoulder. i don't know if that is true, but if it is, it does make a difference if he could play.
again, if it isn't true and he pussied out, he won't make the nfl.

i find it hard to believe that anyone who has gone thru what a qb goes thru for 4 years at texas, that mccoy would just quit. i really hope he was hurt and couldn't play.

So he's supposed to go back out there even though he couldn't throw a pass? Stop
You can stop telling me to "stop." I'm unlikely to.

There was no reason to put pads back on, if he didn't plan on playing. He already had them off, putting them back on only makes it seem like he's going to go back in.....

Plenty of QBs get hurt and come back out in a T-Shirt and hat.

If this injury's so serious, he doesn't need a sling? No ice?

Bottom line, McCoy is trying to steal an NFL contract. Throw an injury in there to move up the draft boards...

The guy is a cunt. Name one big game he's shown up in and where his performance led that team to victory. He's lucky he played for a good school with great talent...

He very well may have been hurt.

Don't put pads back on. Don't laugh after you lose the NC.

But he didn't play tonight BECAUSE HE COULDN'T THROW THE F'ING BALL.

Explain the smiling after the game. Explain the shoulder pads being put on.

Cuz, I don't get either of it....

now thats a something i can agree with. i said when the arguement was going on about the heisman that i thought spiller and the stanford rb (i'm drawing a blank on his name) were more deserving because they had to have a good game for their team to win.
i think mccoy, ingram, and tebow were on good teams that would have been good with or without them. they might not be undefeated, but they would still have good teams.

the stanford rb and spiller from clemson were the only weapons on their team.
                    again, just my opinion

I'm with you on the smiling thing. The reason I dislike Jimmy Rollins so much is because the guy f'ing smiles even after he dogs it to 1st base.

I will not make an excuse for McCoy smiling, but I will say, I'm sure it was easier for him to smile after he played 1 series and missed the rest of the game.

A national championship (possible) vs. 10 mill per year in NFL...no contest. If he he goes in and hands off the rest of the game everybody is saying that was selfish and blasting mack brown.

This is hilarious...the only guys "complaining" about Mccoy are those that lost money on the game...if you REALLY look at the interview (not through gambling glasses) you will see he smiled because he almost broke down and cried...that was his way of fighting back the tears...get a grip boys...if there was ANY way he COULD have played he WOULD have played...and to think differently is idiotic...

I think Gilbert is going to be a very good QB for Texas next year. He grew up VERY fast.

Colt McCoy - nothing but a class act after the game in the interview. Very Impressive.

Great year by Texas and they have nothing to be ashamed of.

                                Congrats Alabama !!!!!!
                                Finally an intelligent comment.
