Dave, You think Texas is Top 5 without McCoy? Man, i can't disagree more. I have no clue who the backup is but i've watched McCoy in several games this year and he is unbelieveable with his arm, accuracy, decision making and running ability. The guy is absolutely top notch and without him, they are screwed imo. He may be the best RB on the team too.

I like Spiller but he had an absolute DUD of a game today. 9 carries for 18 yards and 3 catches for 19 yards. I know he returned a kick for 6 but he doesn't deserve to be in the Heisman conversation imo.

Spiller and Clemson sucked major hind tit today I know.

I just think that a program like Texas would still be good if McCoy got hurt. I say this and I'm like you Wayne, I don't even know his backup !!!

My point was that there are certain programs, and Texas is one of them, that the loss of one player won't destroy the team. If McCoy went down, I still think they would be good. Maybe I was off on a top 5 team, but they would still be a top 10 team just because of all the other good players they have.

Spiller is THE weapon for Clemson and has carried the team. When he doesn't carry them, like today, they lose.
Teams like Texas just reload. A team like Clemson has only one bullet.

I think Case Keenum means more to his team than anyone else. And I think he is more talented than Colt McCoy.

I dont know about who should wim the heisman, but Gerhart is either selfish or a not football smart. When they ran that last play on offense ND let him go in, he should of went down IMO. I know it worked out and they won, but they could have ran the clock all the way down and kicked a fg with 1 or 2 sec left and left ND no time.

I don't care. It's a rarity to find a stellar white RB. It's true. I don't see anything wrong with saying it.

I know dave but when the bullet fires and hits nothing like today, he is out of contention. You can't run for 18 yards against your in state rival and win the Heisman. Mark Ingram for 'Bama has NO CHANCE after having a horrible game at Auburn yesterday too. I think it is either Tebow, McCoy or Gerhart's to win. Clausen & Keenum would be my other 2 in the top 5 who may get invited. I'm no Clausen fan but i know others are.

I disagree, FG's get blocked, I take the sure points and trust my defense for :50 seconds.

That's fine but when you make him sound better than he is just because he's white, that wrong. Who cares. We never say oh look at that guy, he is a horrible RB and he is black. Oh my god!!!!

LMAO. I know what you are saying. I'm just saying bringing up race doesn't make what you say wrong, sometimes, it is valid.

It worked because Clausen fumbled they already droved down the field, and had a shot to tie or win it. Your D played like crap all night. Its the same situation that happenned with the Jax Jags the other week, and jones drew went down. The odd of getting a 20 fg blocked{extra point} is slim.

In my opinion, and I know I'm gonna get blasted for saying this but, Tebow won't be a good NFL QB. All the running he does is gonna get his ass lit up in the NFL. When Reggie Bush came out of USC, he thought he could run away from everyone like he did in college. He found out that linebackers in the NFL run like the DB's in college. He couldn't turn the corner all the time and run away.
Tebow won't be able to run over everyone like he does in college. He reminds me of Bobby Douglass, who was a big strong QB that was average at best.

And has far as the best college player ever - I think thats a BIG Stretch. A few names pop up that were pretty good also - Bo Jackson, Herschel Walker, just to name a VERY FEW that at their time, were called the "best ever"

And Jamarcus Russell does suck !!!

I have no problem with making sure you put points on the board in a tie game. But I see the logic to the other side.
