I've defended Favre for about 3 years here now. The guy is amazing at his age. He threw the pick yes, but he is still a great qb. Hell, he turned down a 25 million dollar contract to do nothing, just to come back and play and get beat up again for less $. Dude has some moxie for sure. what relevance does me throwing a football at 40 have?

and i'd argue about the level we can say this guy is. has only won 4 of his last 11 playoff games, only 1 super bowl, and has ended his last two playoff games with INTs.

The last 2 NFC Title games he lost were BOTH in overtime. It's not like he didn't show up for them. The 1st one was a team that proved they were not going to be denied in the Giants and in the 2nd one he never saw the ball in ot.

I don't see how that makes him on the downside or anything else. There were a bunch of 20-30 year old pro bowl qb's watching from home in both cases while he was 38 and 40 years old. Not sure how anyone can think that is anything but amazing.

In the WC round of the playoffs, Brady got sacked and fumbled and he also threw 2 picks, all in the 1st quarter. Before you could blink, they were losing 24-0 after one quarter. You can lose a game in the 1st quarter just as easily as the 4th. The Favre pick didn't cost them the game yesterday, it cost them a "Chance" at a 55 yard fg to win it in regulation, that's it.
