Agree 100%. In this era alone I would take P. Manning, Brady, and Rothliesberger easily over him whether it was 1 game or an entire career. Each has won at least 1 SB and IMO all three are better playmakers than Favre. However whether they are going to be able to match his longevity is yet to be seen. There is something to be said not only about how well he's played but how long he's kept that level.

Favre was great but he's not better than Montana, Elway, Marino, Brady, Unitas.
Manning will probably get another SB ring and pass him with stats but he's always had great receivers too. Favre is great becaz your never out of game with him but he throws too many picks and makes bad decisions ex. 6 INT's in a playoff game. Also he never got back to the SB after losing to Denver in 98. Not putting guys like Big Ben, and anyone who hasn't had 6-7 years in the league in that conversation yet.
How many more titles will the Yankees try to buy it never ends.

Favre is a Hall of famer, his cannon arm and never missing a start is unheard of. But if i had a big game to win, he would be like the 7 or 8th QB I would pick to get that win. Too many picks, too many i am retired and quitting but no i am not really quiting I am an attention whore and need people to talk about me.

Damn good fantasy QB this year

Bradshaw does have 4 SB rings and I would agree that Troy and the boys were the shit in there day.

Bradshaw did have Franco, Swann and Stallworth and Aikmen had Emmitt, and the coked up Irving

Johnny U statue at Papa Johns Cardinal Stadium

In his four-year career as a Louisville Cardinal, Unitas completed 245 passes for 3,139 yards and 27 touchdowns. It is recorded that the 6'1" Johnny Unitas weighed 145 pounds on his first day of practice at the University of Louisville. Unitas' first start was in the fifth game of the 1951 season against St. Bonaventure

How is it that so many people are putting Marino above Favre? Favre has pretty much every record that used to be held by Dan and a SB ring to go with it. Seems a bit odd to me.

                              JC,

I have met Johnny U - he was a next door neighbor to my wifes Uncle. It was at is duaghter's (wifes cousin) wedding.

Great guy, very down to earth. He was smaller than I imagined cause as a kid he was one of my heroes. His one hand was crippled from injuries.

There is another statue of him right outside Ravens stadium.

BTW, I saw you had a tough day yesterday, bring it back this week. You had to admire how the Ravens shut down Denver, told you not to go down with Denver
                              NBA is a joke

                                Marino was the better QB

If Marino played to the age of 86 like Favre he would still have the record
