About time someone started questioning Romo

Good, Romo's a bum. I hope that he proves me wrong this year, but I am so sick and tired of watching his lame "uncle Rico" arm throwing into double coverage or no where near a reciever and blowing the game for the Cowboys when it matters. i.e. Baltimore and Pittsburgh games in 2008. Smith is 100% correct here and I think Jerry should already be on the look out for a new franchise QB, because Romo is not it! I am hoping that 2009 is it for him. If he does not produce this year, he never will and I say ship him off to Washington or Denver or who ever else will take a bum!
And Wade Philips, he's a bum too but Im tired of typing.

Emmitt was a great player, but he makes a fool of himself every time he opens his mouth. As for Romo being a bum:

      Career Passer Rating (94.7) = 1st among active QBs, 2nd All-time
      Career Yards/Attempt (8.1) = 1st among active QBs, 4th All-time
      Career Completion Rate (63.6%) = 6th among active QBs, 7th All-time

      That's a pretty decent bum.

Emmitt should not even be on the airwaves

I agree with what he said,Romo can lead all the catagories he wants if they don't win who cares.

Instead of saying or doing the right things Romo would rather be on vacations or playing Tiger in golf or trying to qualify for a tournament. If I played on his team I would be like don't tell me how to do my job when your to busy playin around.

and of course I agree with phillips is the real bum in there family.

You should add his (0-2) career postseason record, a snap that he blew to win a playoff game that was equal to an extra point, His int late in a home playoff game to the Giants that they lost and his major choke job last year on the road when they HAD to win.

Numbers are great but he has proven to be a great qb from Sep-Nov. and that is it. Winning is everything!

I would take Romo over Eli Manning who palyed on a much better team with a much better coach.

You can have him. I watched Eli Manning play unbelieveable football 4 games in a row to win a Super Bowl and that is what i like.

P.S. Dallas was the much better team with the much better record when the Wildcard Giants went in there and spanked Dallas at home in a playoff game in '07.

I will give you that but you must have a short memory as he stunk for like a year and a half before. The Giants had the running game and Plex which really came together during that run. Good defense as well which helped.

Romo coud have taken that team all the way as well as several other QBs.

Making Eli the highest paid QB is a joke IMO. Time will tell.

It is one thing to lose as a team, it is another to be the GOAT all by yourself. Romo did that in Seattle with a snap and he deflated the crowd in Dallas in the postseason, in the 4th qtr with a bad int there too in 2007. He chokes under pressure and there is all the proof you need right there in his record. Look at his record from Sep-Nov and look at is record in Dec and Jan.

It isn't just a little different, it is MIND BOGGLING!

Until he shows me he can win a game that matters, i will give him no credit as a "Great" QB.

Point taken. That said another well-known QB has had a similar run of futility in the playoffs aside from 2006:

                        Playoff Record as Starting QB: 1999 (0-1), 2000 (0-1), 2002 (0-1), 2003 (2-1), 2004 (1-1), 2005 (0-1), 2006 (4-0), 2007 (0-1), 2008 (0-1)

One season can do alot to change perception.

I hear ya ctt but he did win postseason games in '03 and '04 to go along with '06. Show me something, anything, like that from Romo and maybe i'll give him some credit. Until then, i am not impressed with September and October stats. I'm just not.

Wayne, not saying he is great, but neither is Eli IMO.

Yeah Romo made some bad plays at some bad times and could be called a goat and a choke. I have seen Eli make some of the worst Int's ever. Wait till he makes mistakes at a bad time this year with that huge contract, the fans will be all over him. He will have to carry the team more this year, I dont think he is that type of QB, JMO.

I never mentioned Eli, you did. The thread was about Dallas and Romo and that is what i commented on.
