  • IS tonights MNF game a trap??!!

Everyone is on MiNN and the line went up from Minn +2 to minn +3.5 seems like vegas is begging you to take Minn especially w the extra half a point...besides a few ppl here and there, almost everyone is on MINN..how could they be +3.5 if this is the case? I like MINN too..Farve 1st half..jackson 3rd qtr and rosenfeld 4th ..thats not bad...but seems like a trap and might have to go against my pick and just go w houston bc it looks just to good

I teased Minn with the over. I think the Texans win a close, high scoring game. GL with whatever you do.

Even though i don't believe in line movements or traps, it is a good question Josh. I base all my preseason plays soley on the QB rotations. I have had a great preseason so far. I think everyone expects Houston to play big and finally win one at home. I think Rosenfels going back to Houston and Jackson in after him, gives Minny a decided advantage. Houston has not played well on defense yet either. I played Minny and i'm hoping that hook i got makes a difference.

P.S. That line is about to go back down again too!

Last nights game was the game that looked like a trap.Anyone who took Denver probably took them for that reason.Denver was a team with internal problems and alot of guys missing and yet they were favs against the Bears Easy winner last night IMO.That being said Vegas don't miss 2 games in a row often when it's Sunday night and Monday night football.I say take the Texans. That who I have

favre sentimental favorite....vegas knows public will load up on MINN.....Houston has played so bad thus far, they need to leave some horses in there and get some shit together.......3 rd week lots of teams leave big boys in when not appearing to be very good.....HOUSTON in this case.....IMO

Houston wins and the game goes OVER IMO.......

One of my buddies who lurks here made a bet with me for $10 that Greek would have a 10* or higher on Denver last night since it was so obvious and how he picks his games.Greek had it a 9*. Winner winner chicken dinner

Dont be surprised if Greek has a monster season in NFL this year. The public cleaned house last year in the NFL. I cant expect that happening two years in a row The oddsmakers should have the lines tightened this time around IMO....

I'm sure he will.I'm the first to say that 99.9% of the reason I hate him is cause he wins when I lose I just don't have the will power. Now, is he playing all those games for real or just being an ass,I have no clue but if you put check marks beside all the members plays, the games that have the most check marks from us,Greeks got a 20* on the other side.It happens every week. And we all know they didn't build Vegas without guys like us

Did they? I believe you are confusing last season with 2007. The betting public prefers favorites.

Overall last season, favorites were 121-126. Home favorites were a 78-92.

Do you really think they "tighten" their lines? How do you think they do it? IMO it's cyclical. Every few years favorites dominate. Every few years dogs dominate. All in all there's a slight edge to the dogs.

                            Favorites records:
                            2008 121-126
                            2007 128-114
                            2006 110-137
                            2005 142-103
                            2004 117-125
                            2003 129-118
                            2002 108-137
                            2001 114-125
                            2000 114-125

Frank the public doesnt always take favorites but usually. Last year I remember a ton of public backed underdogs that covered week in and week out...

Also by tightening their lines I am referring to public backed picks ATS to not win at such a high clip..not specifically favs am talking about public backed plays....
