Look I know something about the legal system, and many times in order to assess judgment about somebody(Ortiz), you have to draw comparisons to someone else, in this case Clemens.
If you don't accept that a premise, then this discussion is pointless.
As stated, I am not defending Ortiz by any means and in fact as stated feel the circumstantial evidence indicates that there is a good chance that he did take steroids.
HOWEVER, in comparison to Clemens, the ACTUAL EVIDENCE is much much stronger at this point(with Clemens obviously) anyways that he did use and lie about them-thats all I am saying!
ps In our society whether it be in a courtroom or in a matter like this, one is assumed to be innocent until PROVEN guilty(or at least until such time that the preponderance of evidence indicates someone is guilty).

ps To be politically correct, I should have said presumed innocent rather than assumed innocent in previous post.

Tonight's game is HUGE considering Texas has already won and because the outcome will determine if Sox come out of New York 4 1/2 games or 6 1/2 games(yuck) out.

The blunt fact of the matter, which is undeniable is HE LIED. He looked right in a camera, sought out the cameras in fact and lied.

I couldn't give two shits about Roger Clemens, about the legal system, about premises, evidence, or preponderance. The simple fact is his fat-ass sought out a camera and lied to your face. I could care less about all the other shit. Don't lie to the public and no one would be saying a word.

Arguing with you about the Red Sox is like talking to a wall.

It's the same song and dance. "I took some over the counter supplement".
I'll reiterate! The players that tested positive use the same excuse. Now let me ask. If these magical supplements were that great that transformed an at best, average baseball player to a 50+ home run hitting star wouldn't it be safe to assume EVERY player would take these 'innocent' magical supplements? There's roughly 750 MLB players. Only 100 or so tested positive.

BTW the vitamin and supplement industry is a multi-billion dollar FRAUD industry. The overwhelming majority of supplements are just that. A FRAUD!

I heard Peter Gammons spinning for his boy today on the radio. Introducing reasonble doubt, etc.

Gammons is a Red Sox butt boy.

No offense to you Savage. People are just tired of being played by these fools.

its amazing theese people going to bat for ortiz. disgusting actually. people make fun of fans in LA for cheering ramirez, but this pass that the media wants to give ortiz is even more appalling.

the guy made barely any money, was released by the twins (who have one of the best front offices around mind you), and all of a sudden turns into one of the most feared hitters in the game the same time he tests positive. and oh by the way his best friend on the team has now failed two drug tests. and then when testing stiffens up, he sucks again!

connect the dots you fuking morons!!!!

You wouldn't make a very good judge;the issue has ZERO to do with the Sox-I would say the same if it happened to ARod or any player.
You may not care about REAL evidence and "presumed innoncence until PROVEN guilty." Some of us do.

You are not a doctor and not in a positon to say that as fact.
There are PLENTY of doctors who think that some vitamins do help people woth vitamin deficiencies.
