Those were my exact words to Wayne in my PM's to him ... Never got along with that BITCH ...

Good for you Wayne to expose him ... Like I said to you, everyone that stiffs you out of contest money should be dealt with the same way as this clown ...

Give them enough rope ... they always hang themselves ...

Wayne....sorry to hear this.....you've always supported/handles contests, and I know this is not the first time you've come up with your own $ to offset non payments...

Exposing people like this is indeed what is needed....let ALL see what has transpired......

Suggestion:....InsteaD OF BITING/PUTTING UP THE $, CAN YOU PRORATE THE $'S LOSS INTO THE WINNING PURSES....

      i. e., say theres 3 winnners, pay #1 $20 less, #2 and #3 $15 less......after all when we joined/said we'd play, WE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT THE EXACT PURSE WAS GONNA be.......

If I won, I certainly wouldn't mind the deduction rather than you get bit....

I'm sure others would agree with me, and can soay so right here....If not, make it a POLL someone, and let the members back you up for all you do here....

My vote is SUBTRACT the $ not paid/pro rated from winners...

PS: I disagree with SPARK re removing his IP so he can't view the site, I think he needs to see how he is being viewed by the MEMBERS here......not good, and that should dig into him....

All of these pools state in rules: Pay up Front! There should be
no exceptions. No one places a bet in Vegas or at an offshore
and pays after the game plays. Fuck Him!

Always hated that avatar he used....

I agree Kapt ... I have told Wayne to deduct it out of the winnings ... Why should he pay for it?? That money was never collected ...

I disagree with you on the IP ... He will be e-mailing Wayne regarding the comments ... I know ... mostly everyone I have banned has sent me dumb e-mails ... I think anyone who is banned should not be allowed to view the forum ... all that does is give reason to bash our forum on another ... JMHO

I'm not putting in the money anymore. I started deducting it from the pools last year.

All I can say is "WOW". I love Vondie's spin. How Wayne was in the wrong. I love how people in the wrong spin it and blame others.

Wayne, I agree with others. If monies aren't paid deduct that amount from the prize money distributed. There's no reason it should come out of your pocket.

That guy is a classless asshole and has never contributed one positive thing to this forum that I've read in my 3 years here. Good riddance scumbag.

Wayne, sorry you have to put up with unappreciative deadbeats. Keep up the good work.

As an non participator in the pools, I think payouts should be told to all participants based on those who HAVE paid. If one or two have not, that money should NOT be factored in at that time.

Nothing worse than thinking you're going to win $200 only to be told you're only getting $170. It will make people question the integrity of the pool or the administrator.

It would be better to say, well because so and so finally paid, instead of winning $170, you're going to be getting a check for $200.....Hope that makes some sense and of course, it's just my opinion.

I generally keep people updated Kaz on who, if any, owe. I send out a list with names to all in the pool at certain times during the season. If there were 80 people in a pool and i did payouts for 65, that would be worse imo. They have no clue who hasn't paid and i could just make up a number. I've done these for a long time and they can be very difficult because i have people from literally all 50 States. Communication can be very difficult at times. This year what i did was simply not list payouts in a pool until everyone is paid. When it gets closer to the end i list payouts and i say it is assuming these people pay up and i list their names. I always pay about the same amounts and spots in the pools each year so most guys who have played, have a good idea already.

Kaz, It is really difficult at times, especially during football season. I think i had 140 people in the NFL Survivor last year. I think about 20 were signed up when i woke up on the opening Sunday. That's it.

Everyone sends the picks at the last minute and they all say that they mailed the check the day before (Saturday) or Friday or something. Between 10 am and 1 pm, i received the other 120 people and their picks. It is a nightmare. I never know who is playing until i see a pick. Sometimes they forget to email one and don't end up playing. Basically, in those 3 hours i'm getting hammered with picks and trying to put them all on the excel sheet and also in the email folder too. Several have questions and stuff and each one can take a minute or two. I'm so under the gun that i just take them for their word that the payment has been sent and put them in. I have to get the sheet put together, sized right and sent out before 1 pm in the folder. Usually 20 emails bounce right back as undeliverable and it takes awhile to figure out those problems by going back to find the original email. That is one pool. I run about 8-10 football pools and they all have guys from everywhere playing in them. I have the 3 For All and the NFL Pick'em pools that take time too.

At the same time as that, i have the MLB Team Ball and 2 Nascar pools that also take place on Sunday. They overlap for about 2 months.

I'm not complaining at all because i love to do it but it is a serious nightmare, especially week 1. Everyone always says just don't let people play unless you have the money but it just isn't that simple. We would have had about 30 people in NFL Survivor last year instead of 140. Most guys pay and they do it like that every year. I never know who isn't going to pay each year but i spend a lot of time sending out reminders after week 1. Last year about 12 guys never paid in NFL Survivor. They lost early on and never responded to my emails. Two guys split it at the end of the year and they got a huge chunk of money but 1 guy was pissed about the people who didn't pay. I told him hey, i did everything i could do to get the money but he was still pissed.

He said nobody should have played without paying and i said great, you would have won about $200 instead of $1,300. He had no answer for that.

My wife does all the excel work for me and without her help, i would be totally screwed trying to get it all done and together on opening day.

People like Chado used to get pissed because i wouldn't put in his NFL picks every week last year but that was one of the few pools with a website and set deadline that ran itself. It was setup that way for a reason, because i have too many other things going on to worry about people and their mistakes in that one. It's on them, not me.

The worst part is always trying to get my bets in between the emails and phone calls for pools!

I just don't need people like vondie busting on my nuts. It's not worth the headache.
