Go read the rumor mills. It's alot easier than me typing it all.

My point being, Victor Martinez is the last notable hitter on the block. There really is no one else that's going to get moved and make a big impact (hitting-wise).

No. You said you heard a ton of big names still being talked about, and I was just saying all I see is Martinez, really. I was just wondering if you were seeing something that I'm not.

Cliff Lee is coming off a Cy Young year and pitching VERY well right now. Victor Martinez has much better numbers than even Holliday does. Adrian Gonzalez is a STUD, Halladay is a STUD and who knows who else has been talked about that we don't even know about. I'm still seeing some "Blockbuster" names that "Could" be traded and i love this time of year. Maybe none of them get dealt but many people are talking right now.

Okay, I was just talking hitters. And it says everywhere that the Pads won't trade Gonzo.

I doubt anything else is gonna' happen really. I don't even think Halladay is gonna' get moved. But who knows.

Something is going to happen with Cleveland (I think), and if Martinez or Lee get moved, it is going to be a HUGE deal to any team that gets them.

As far as Gonzo goes, they can say whatever they want but Gonzo himself said he would like to play for a winning team at the All Star break and everybody has a price.

I'd love for the Braves to get Martinez or Gonzalez. But the Braves aren't really pursuing Martinez and the Pads seem pretty adamant about keeping Gonzalez. Just hoping they'll pick up somebody small, like a Nick Johnson or Dunn.

All Gonzo has to do is go in the front office and say hey, i'm miserable here and the ball starts rollin'. You never know about any of these guys and a lot can change in 6 days. Also, i don't believe anything a GM says. Two Months ago the Indians said there was no way they were trading Martinez because he is a loved figure there by fans and ownership. Now look, his name is rumored in several deals.

If i had my choice, i would love to get Michael Young from Texas and put him at SS. He wanted to play short instead of 3rd anyway and Blalock seems to be back and healthy.

Nolan Ryan has always been in love with the Texas kid Buchholz and they want bullpen help .... and they have an extra IF and C.

Boston Gets M. Young and Saltalamacchia

Texas gets Buchholz, Delcarmen, Saito and Lowrie.

Sounds good to me, let's do it!

I still say Bucholz for Martinez makes too much sense for the Sox And I am surprised Theo won't pull the trigger.

Matt Holliday already paying dividends for the Cardinals!

What a different team the Cardinals are with Holliday hitting behind Pujols. You push everyone down a spot and it makes that whole lineup look that much better!

Will they be able to keep him after this season though?

The 1,2,4 hitters in the St Louis lineup just joined the club in 3 seperate trades.
