Mark Kotsay and/or Rocco Baldelli must be leaving or maybe Brad Penny?

Career .847 OPS against righties and .833 this year. Why not platoon him with Lowell (.758 this year against righties) who can't play everyday right now anyways? It's certainly an upgrade over Mark Kotsay.

I want Youk at 1B where he won the Gold Glove and this bumb is not the "Big Bat" they needed.

They're just adding bench pieces. I'm telling you, they think their starting pitching is stacked, just because they have 6 starters. They don't get it. I bet the Yankees will make a few moves for relief pitching.

There has been a lot of talk about Boston getting Victor Martinez. I would love him but where and when does he play. He needs to play daily and i'm not sure platooning all these guys makes them better.

I don't believe that at all. They are still trying to deal Penny and i think they ARE a little worried about pitching.

There have been rumors about them getting Halladay too and trading somebody like Ellsbury & Buchholz. I'm not sure if all of this is leading to a bigger move somewhere but it might be.

They won't do it kb. The pitchers all want Tek in there and even if he isn't hitting, he is the captain and most popular guy on the team. He is going to get his starts.

There's no way the Jays trade Halladay to anyone in the AL East. If they want an arm, they'll have to go after Cliff Lee.

Why not? They have openly said they would. Why not bleed a division team of talent and maybe Roy leaves in 18 months anyway.

I do find it funny how people think Boston is just like the Yankees and they spend the same way. Their payroll hasn't even been top 3 the last couple years and like most teams (Except NY), they do have a budget they go by.

They also openly said the price would be "significantly steeper" for the Red Sox and Yankees.

I know but they have overpaid before.

Do you even remember the 2nd highest offer to Sabathia? Nobody was close to NY and they over paid for him too.
