This is what I have been saying all.year.With the new points system some drivers like Dale Jr could not afford to stop before the rain came out because they could not take the hit in points.Drivers that are outside the top 10 can afford to roll the dice.and pick up a win here or there.

its called consistency.Nascar with this new points system rewards someone that finishes races with a decent finish rather than win.Jr along with alot of drivers can not afford to take a chance at winning because if they mess up you might finish 40th.The way NASCAR is set up now if a guy wins the first 4 races and then finishes 43,and the other guy finishes 9th in all 5 races the guy that finished 9th 5 times would be in the lead.

JR is consistent, he consistently doesn't finish 1st.
