IF THE BALL HIT THE RIM ITS NOT GOING TO GO DOWN AND IN AN INWARD ANGLE INTO THE NET !!!!!!
THE NET MOVED ( FLUTTERED ) BACK JUST LIKE IT DOES WHEN SOMEONE SHOOTS AN AIRBALL AND HITS THE NET
You are unreal!
I'm actually sitting here laughing at this point. I seriously would like to watch a game with you some day. I think it would be fun!

Sorry Vols, this is not a shot at you in any way. Because I really hate being involved in such a small argument, but......
You guys do know that there is space between the bottom of the rim and the out of bounds line.
And you guys do know that..... BIG BABY STOPPED THE BALL.

The ball caused the net to move back towards the crowd. This means the ball was headed toward the crowd as well. No matter the rim or not, the ball's trajectory was toward the sidelines after BIG BABY TOUCHES IT, it lands in the paint AND BOUNCES STRAIGHT UP.
Senseless???? You are wrong Wayne. Absolutely wrong."CFB YTD: 5-8-1 -16.2"

As for the play, I see it as VERY close, from the courtside angle it looks like air, but from above the ball looks like it changes directions. Why it was not reviewed, I don't know, but this is not a call that is really "overturned" here because the officials do not reset the 24 second clock when a ball hits the rim, someone at courtside does. If they are not sure, they are taught to not reset the clock and let the refs handle it if the buzzer goes off---so the play was absolutely officiated correctly
Late note, I just googled video review, and 24 second shot clock violations are apparently NOT REVIEWABLE---here are links to the NBA rules, as well as a story about a Kings/Spurs game a month ago where this happened
So I can answer 1 question for you Greek--it was not reviewed because they can't.
and yes I am obviously a celtics fan, so you probably won't believe I
really think it hit rim

It’s a shame a call this bad last night at Sacramento could decide playoff seedings in the NBA WestThree Jack's Record http://www.bettorschat.com/forums/sh...10#post1323910

mavs, you missed the middle of the post, no ref ever called a shot clock violation, the clock is run by someone at courtside, and they are taught that if they are not 100 percent sure that it hit the rim, DON'T TOUCH THE BUTTON (not yelling, emphasis on what they are taught) that way, if there is any issue, it is up to the officials on the floor. So, there was no reversal, simply 3 officials getting together to decide if they thought the ball hit the rim, which is exactly how that call should be handled. Whether you agree with the call or not, it was handled on the floor in complete accordance with the rules.

I laugh during a lot of these debates. I really have fun with most of them. Yes, i believe what i believe but i am laughing out loud during many of them. Not at the other person, more at the passion. I love it but sometimes i find it all very funny. I think knowing some people in the thread are flat out pissed off and others are just not that serious about it is funny to me. You can tell who wants to kick the dog and who doesn't!

Dino ... if I had to bet on it from looking at this vid I would say it did hit the rim ... from the over-head shot the ball looked like it hit the rim and directed down ...
