I dont know why the Mets dont go after sheets...A healthy sheets, and yes thats a big "healty" is one of the elite pitchers in the game..A banged up sheets is better than Livan Hernandez..Also, remember who the mets almost put on there opening day roster..Freddy Garcia?? Could you imagine having Livan Hernandez and Freddy Garcia on the same team in your pitching order...

I dont know why the owners allow this, but its horrible and its pissing a lot of people off. I wish Minyana would go..I cant stand the dude
I am not saying it isn't true, I can see why people feel that way and don't blame them. I just don't think it is true...at least I like to think it isn't.

I had no issue with them not going after Lowe at the time...alwasy easy to Monday morning QB but I will say at the time, I thought ATL overpaid for Lowe and he is not a young kid. 2 months in to a 4 yr contract, it looks like a stupid move, but I am not going to judge it on 2 months.

I will say overpaying for Ollie was nuts. but I am not sure what else he could have done at that point. I think Omar has done a lot of good for this team.

I Agree 100% with you on LOWER. I didnt want LOWE and I still feel atl over paid for him. But I feel, and many agree that minyana looks Hispanic first and second and last choice will look elsewhere..

\\They were competeing for the same spot, the #5 spot, so it wouldnever have happened.

And don't forget who was supposed to be the #5 starter...Tim Redding, a non-hispanic that Omar signed.

true..another winner, redding.. You watching the game? As much as I would hate to see it, the mets are going to be forced to break up one of the three pieces (wright, beltran or reyes)

I am watching it...and you might be right...and Omar would get crucified but I think it is Wright that goes. You would get the most for him and he is awful in the clutch. he would be the one that I would send packing IF he had too...and, by the way, I am not hispanic!

And, not to belabor the point, he passed on Raul Ibanez to give the job to Daniel Murphy....

Had it occurred early on that Pelf, Maine or Santana, or a combo of the two the PR could have easily contained Ollie, Garcia, and Livan.

But aside from that point, the statistics speak for themselves, the Mets roster has a higher % of Hispanics than any other in the MLB.

I feel bad for David Wright in the dugout...... Delgado, Castillo, and Reyes are talking infield strategy in a bases loaded situation across the diamond and Wright's saying: "You guys wanna fill me in here?!?"

When I say clutch, I do mean more than one or two at bats...like the month of Sept!!!

Beltran is going to have a cereer year this year.

Awful may have been harsh...but he has not consistently performed in pressure situations and, in NY, the longer that continues, the harder to perform it gets.

And he is my favorite Met.....

Yeah just joking around. Beltran's clutch numbers while in NY are really not that bad. But if it does come down to Wright,Reyes, or Beltran. The Mets will not and have no excuse for if they do: getting rid of Wright. He's the youngest, the best defensive, and the most consist offense (aside from the 8th inning and after). IMO.
