it's playoff hockey, anything can and usually does happen, since i had pitt for the series i'll take the win now rather than rely on you telling me they would have won game 7 at home.

This board is for arguing points and discussion. That's exactly what we did. No hard feelings at all. If everyone agreed with each other it would be a boring world! Can't wait for the round two match ups to get decided. Hockey playoffs are awesome and I love watching night after night no matter who is playing.

haha, the flyers did not lose cause of that fight, they lost cause they simply aren't that good. The last couple years they have been consistantly mediocre. Briere has been a huge dissapointment, and our D just can't shut anyone down. Biron played ok but he can't beat pitt on his own.

Listening to the game, the announcers said they same thing about the fight and how it wasn't neccesary at the time. That fight changed nothing. Your posts carry so much arrogence....I know you tout yourself as being a hockey and MMA expert....which is fine, enjoy yourself....but don't think that fight did anything to change that game. The pens being a much more talented team did.

I don't believe those 2 guys fought in last years eastern conference finals and philly got whipped in that series too....

Bottom line...Pitt has talant...flyers have decent players + mediocre goaltending and dont' have a shot against the eastern conference elite.

That is when it started "wearing off"

and i do think pittsburgh was thinking about the fight when they scored the 2nd goal and philly was also, because carcillo was still in the box from his wonderful fight that he won when they scored it so that made it 3-2 all within 3 minutes of after he took the penalty.

all of a sudden pittsburgh went from being shutout to only down a goal within 3 minutes of the fight, then at that point at 3-2 score with a period and a half to play i do agree with you talent took over.

agreed, like you said pain, the game wasn't even halfway over with that 3-0 lead....so much time left. Maybe if it was in the 3rd period, and the game flipped you might have a point, but Pitt scoring 5 goals in 30 min has everything to do with talent, not emotion. Agree to disagree I guess.
