Yea Hester was what I was I thinking, he should be a big time weapon now with Forte. Great trade for the Bears. Now the Broncos can spend years trying to find another qb with all those draft picks.

The Browns reportedly had a deal on the table Thursday afternoon that would have sent Brady Quinn to Denver.

The reported deal also involved the Redskins, presumably with Jay Cutler going to Washington and Jason Campbell headed to Cleveland. Cutler told a Denver TV station that he was headed to Washington, but the deal fell apart at the last minute. The Broncos were believed to favor Quinn over Kyle Orton.

Why on earth would Cleveland want Campbell ?

I originally felt the same way. The more I thought about it I no longer feel the same way. While I do think Cutler is over-hyped he's still a quality QB. Draft picks are overrated. Far too many top draft picks don't pan out. Also, top picks are no longer a precious commodity. Teams don't want to overpay for top draft picks. That's why the Patriots took a second round draft pick. They didn't want a top-5 pick.

Finally, at least with Cutler you know what you are getting. There's less risk with Cutler, an established QB than a rookie. There's too many busts.

Just going by what I can find. I would assume these are up to date.

BTW, Orlando Pace signed by the Bears today, don't know if that is old news or new news.

Thanks for the updated roster. I figured NFL.com and ESPN would be pretty up to date.

IMO it's a good trade for both teams. Bears get a quality QB. They've also performed poorly in the draft the past few years.

Denver needs defensive help. I believe teams are more successful drafting defensive players than rookie QBs.

                          You are right Frank

What are you going to do with first round picks if you GM cant draft ? Angelo has had success in rounds 3 and on

Look at his first round picks in recent years:

Chris Williams -jury still out - injured most of the year

Greg Olsen - I like this kid - if they throw to him more often-- but a # 1 pick ????

                          Cedric Benson - BUST

Tommie Harris - All pro one year / injured the next / then a poor season - will the real Tommie Harris show up ? Is he damaged goods ?

Michael Haynes - out of the leaugue

Marc Colombo - BUST - rejuvinated his carrer with the cowboys last 2 seasons

                          David Terrell - BUST

                          Cade McNown - BUST

                          Curtis Enis - BUST

                          John Allred - BUST

WITH ANGELO PICKING -- THEY CAN HAVE OUR FIRST ROUND PICKS

                            Yea u guys are right the more im looking at the trade Im ok with it. You now got a top 10 qb, and Angelo has been brutal on first round picks. I was just looking and the Bears still have 8 picks in this years draft, which I didnt know yesterday, so they had some wiggle room, hope it works out, especially since im a Bears fan :}

You Bears fans aren't concerned about your the lack of talent at the receiving position?

Yea I am concerned, but we havent had to many top notch guys here in the past. I think the two tight ends will have a good year prob combine for about 70-80 catches, then you have a bunch of ? . They drafted a kid last from Vandy that played with Cutler named Earl Bennet, I believe he is all-time SEC leading receiver, if he is ever gonna do anything in the league this is the time. Hester is a BIG ? Im guessing they will try and sign somebody and draft a receiver or 2. The biggest thing of all dont forget the Bears are still gonna be a run first offense, and their runningback led the team in catches last year.
