That seems to be about the norm. By the way, this whole thing has a weird smell to it. The Union doesn't destroy the list of 104 names?? Just ARod's name come out?? I know some people in the know, and I've heard some stuff about tearing done the Union and getting a salary cap, etc etc. Just seems really fishy to me. Lawyers that are paid millions of dollars just "accidentally" didn't destroy the list they had the right to destroy? Come on. My guess is none of the other players on the list will ever be named. And wouldn't you sue the Union if you were ARod? That list was never suppose to be released. What an awkward, staged interview that was with Peter Gammons. Does anyone believe he didn't know what he was taking?

I'd say it was a smart move that he didn't go the McGwire/Bonds/Clemens route, but I can't give him credit for admitting it either. Now, if he came out of the blue and admitted I'd give him all the credit in the world. However, the ONLY reason he "admitted" he used is b/c he was caught red handed. There is a 0% chance he would have admitted to anything if he wasn't outed.

Steroids. There is already a new class of drugs being used. They work differently than steroids and the effects are just as strong. Some are experimental in the treatment of fibromyalgia. Others work on anabolic factors in ways that normal steroids do not. I believe than are some that lack accurate testing at this point.

Now... any big name sports figure has the $$ and connections to get this stuff. I'm a nobody in comparison and I know about them.

I willing to bet they entered professional sports about 4-5 years ago and wont be talked about for another 4-5 years.

So what's the real reason people are so up in arms that pro baseball players took steroids?
We all know by now the health ramifications that steroids have on a body, so why do fans feel slated for watching athletes on steroids all these years?
How does it really effect us as fans?
Sports is entertainment and pro athletes get paid tons of money to entertain us fans.
I myself have enjoyed watching pro sports and will continue to do whether the sport is cleaned up or not.
Sure the owners, agents players etc tried to cover it up, but now that the problem has been brought to forefront changes and punishments are being handed out now.
Is it too bad that America was duped all these years to think baseball, football and hoops have been clean all these years? C'mon folks wake up and smell the coffee the athletes have never been completely clean EVER.
I believe that the rest of the list that A-Rod was found on should be released.

I'm not trying to be an asshole, but this is about the silliest post I think I've ever read on this site. He seems like a good guy so he didn't do roids? Thome and Manny were good natural hitters from day one so they didn't do roids?

Dude, ARod was a can't miss stud from the time he was in diapers. In his first full season (1996) he hit 36 HRs, and batted .358, winning a batting title! Talk about a good natural hitter from day one.

Take another look at Thome's numbers. 1998, 1999, 2000 his HRs were in the 30's. 2001 he hit 49, 2002 he hit 53, 2003 he hit 47 HRs. Hmmmm.......

Sometimes it is hard to be something you aren't and vice versa. Read your first 7 words in this post and you'll figure it out.

I think Papi used too ... NO DOUBT!

This is also the 3rd or 4th time i have said that here though, so my thoughts are not exactly new ones. There isn't any team in the last 20 years that had 25 "Clean" guys on it. I'm pretty positive about that.

Please explain to me the resons why you guys hate Arod so much? Again, Im not a fan either way. Actually, Im pretty indifferent about the guy. But man, he sure is getting bashed. And last I checked there were tons of other guys who have been on the juice. I don't remember Barry baseball getting bashed as much as this. Myself, Im a Cal Ripken, jr. fan. However, I hate seeing anyone get crushed in the league, media, and this forum to the extent some are going after AROD. Im not stirring the pot but do want to know if I am missing something here??
