          This was the testing that lead to the policy that's in effect since '04. The whole point was for it to be confidential, honest, and safe. For someone to violate that is despicable because ultimately the motivation is damaging, negative, and self-serving. Do you guys realize that Ms. Roberts can get some serious jail time for "leaking" out information which was supposed to be sealed.

              No, he actually just admitted he used it for the 2001, 2002, 2003 seasons.

              Smart move too. This is where McGwire, Bonds, Clemens are running into so much trouble. As a society we are very forgiving. It is so much better to come clean, admit it, apologize for it, and as for forgiveness a la Jason Giambi and Andy Petite.

              Where you get into so much trouble is when it is painfully obvious you did it, and just keep lying about it. Then in addition to everyone still knowing you did, you are basically calling people stupid and asking them to believe an unbelievable story.

                  The evidence is there in black and white, and b/c that was the case, I think it is a very wise move to admit it. It will be big news no doubt, but I think the story will be less of a story a year from now by admitting it. The average American will be more forgiving to him for admitting it than they would standing behind his agent, lawyers, and the union.

                          As much as all these guys are frauds using roids, you have to give ARod some credit for admitting he used them. I'm sure some of his #s were inflated by the roid usage, but you have to admit this guy is a natural talent and with/without roids, I still think he'll go down as one of the best pre-October players ever.

                            I'd say it was a smart move that he didn't go the McGwire/Bonds/Clemens route, but I can't give him credit for admitting it either. Now, if he came out of the blue and admitted I'd give him all the credit in the world. However, the ONLY reason he "admitted" he used is b/c he was caught red handed. There is a 0% chance he would have admitted to anything if he wasn't outed.
