3) Tebow - the guy does make the offense click. I've never seen a quarterback just flat run over people like he does when he needs to. He's mobile and huge.
I really kind of think Bradford will win it...and I kinda hope he doesn't. It's too much of a distraction for the winner going into the big game.
A case could be made for any of these 3 guys.
The thing with Bradford and Oklahoma though is that Stoops ran up the score rather than sit his starters.
Tebow didn't play the 4th quarter in a few of those blow out games.Good Luck to everyone

Clark: What's steroids?
Richie: Something that makes your pee-pee smaller.

Pretty even until you consider Tebow's stats are for the full season and the other 3's are at the midway point
Tebow also had over 500 yards rushing with 12 Td'sGood Luck to everyone

OU only scored like 50 something points in the 4th quarter all season! How is that running up the score?

In all reality, I am hoping Tim does not win it. We would love to have him for another year at Florida.
Not that it would make a big difference in his decision, But it might.
I heard that he would not make a team in the first 15 picks of the pros. Then it was said that he might have to change positions. Weird.
But I hope it is enough to keep him in college. The offensive coordinator was a guru to Tebow. He should do well at Miss State, if he can recruit.
I liked what Karl had to say about the vote being split up.
I did not watch a lot of OK ball until the final weeks. I can't see how anyone would not want Sam as their QB at the next level. He has sprayed it around very well. But I hear that even he is not the odds on first QB to be taken.
Colt stays for another year and is a gunslinger on par with Sam.
But as we have seen in the past--the pros have ratings on each player and it has very little impact on the Heisman. Charlie Ward comes to mind.
So, are stats the way to decide who wins this coveted trophy? If not, then what element must be added?
Field Generalship? How would the team perform if the player was not playing? Does the player elevate his teammates to a new level? What else?
Maybe the heisman has to prove his girth by the votes cast upon him as in a personality battle. We saw that on America's Idol program. Certainly, the area of which the player is in receives the majority of votes.
It certainly seems that the intangibles are as much a part of the heisman voting as stats are. And that is why we sit back and root for who we want.
Fair enough!Last edited by Spearit; 12-11-2008, 07:08 PM."The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice.

I am sorry. I posted a comment without doing the research.
One of My biggest pet peaves while listening to sportstalk radio is when a caller calls up and makes no sense and is saying shit like he has no clue.
I heard a comment on Foxsports Radio last night with Big Ben Mallard saying that a buddy of his who votes for the Heisman Trophy voted for Tebow and voted Bradford in 3rd b/c of Stoops running up the score.
Naturally I assume that he knows what he is talking about and rushed to post that here. Usually before I post something I research what I am gonna say before I post it to make sure I am right. I did not do that last night.
I realized that vs Mizzou they were rushing TD's at the end of the game.
vs Tech if Bradford wasn't in the 4th quarter they may not have won that game.
Thanks for pointing out my wrong. Sorry.Good Luck to everyone
